Nice in concept, but inconsistent in hours. When we arrived today, they were not available for a foot massage today at 16:00. Given that massages are a dime a dozen in Thailand, we went for one at the Wat down the road. Maybe next time!

One of the best Thai massages I have experienced in Thailand. Highly recommended providing that you will see the same masseuse I have been to.

This was the best massage that I received in Chiang Mai. My masseuse was skilled, smiling, polite, and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Lockers kept my expensive camera equipment safe. Highly recommended!

I had a great, relaxing massage from a friendly, polite and skilled prison inmate. This is a great program that teaches women a skill to help them transition from prison to society. Very inexpensive, GREAT massage and well worth stopping by. There is a restaurant attached, we didn't eat, but the coffee was pretty good!

Cant seem to find the restaurant listed here so i decided to post the review here. Chaunchom Restaurant is situated within the women's correction centre. You will be served by inmates who want to turn a new leaf. Food is simple, good n decently priced. Its for a good cause. So why not?

Heard about this place and decided to give it a try. It was a good quality massage and its almost worth it for the "never have I ever" element of having had a massage in a women's prison. It's also a great idea, in terms of transitioning prisoners into the outside once again. Having a little bit of money to... More

Whilst researching things to do in Thailand before my trip I came across the Chiang Mai Women's Correctional Institution in my Lonely planet book. As it was recommended, I decided that I definitely wanted to give this a go! When I finally arrived in Chiang Mai I got a little bit lost trying to find it.. I almost gave up... More

I arrived at 1130am and was informed that it would be 3 hours until a booking was available,no problem I will wait and I am sure glad I did. The Correctional Staff of Miss Thunyanun and Miss Rungthip were very kind, helpful and fun to be around and talk to. I had a small problem with a torn Camera Case... More

I am not sure what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised! After being booked in by the warden, we sat in the garden drinking delicious fruit shakes till it was our turn. The woman that worked on me was excellent. Really gave a good massage, hard where I wanted it and soft where I was sore. This isn't... More

If you have a social conscience and want to help others in need whilst pampering yourself - start here. All monies are saved for the prisoners for their release (all prisoners are due for release within 6 months). I thought I'd try the Chiang Mai Women's Prison Massage for something different. What a treat! The women are friendly, skilled and... More
