This was one of our favourite things that we did whilst in Thailand, we booked the day before and the school picked us up from the train station as we arrived on the overnight train from Bangkok, we did the option 1 day with different types of meals being taught: tom yum soup, pad thai, green curry, water chestnuts with... This place was just so much fun!! Learnt how to cook genuine Thai food in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The visit to the local market was good fun and the food cooked, delicious. The cook book given to us- i have used a couple of the recipes and they are amazing, tasty and authentic. The staff were friendly and fun.... More

My spouse thought it would be a nice day to learn how to cook Thai dishes. We were picked up at our hotel and delivered to the school's location about 30 minutes outside the city. We were retuned later that afternoon. The setup is well done, with room for lots of people. We were lucky with only 8 of us... More

Quite frankly, the only reason the Thai Cookery School does not get a 5 star rating is the actual administration of there program. I identified myself as an executive chef. I planned this trip for a year. I traveled from the United States to Thailand specifically for this school. Upon arrival, I was told that the founder and main instructor... More

I've traveled a lot throughout SE Asia and taken a lot of cooking classes, and this has been the best so far. The demos are professional (there is a separate kitchen for demonstrations) and the teachers are great at guiding you through the execution of each dish. Also you get to make about 6 dishes in a full day course... More

We had the privilege of spending 8 days at the Thai Cookery School in February...4 of those days were spent cooking traditional Thai dishes. The classes are well-organized, move quickly through the demonstrations straight to the wok stations, then into the dining room so we could eat our creations--we made (and ate) 6 dishes each day. The instructor/chefs are well-trained,... More

This has been the best value for money course I have spent in my 3 month tour of Thailand. The pickup from my hotel was exactly on time and the transfer to the schools location was swift. We met Pom the chef who was an excellent English speaker and very funny to boot. We made 7 dishes in all, and... More

It's unfortunate that I never got the opportunity to experience a planned day of cooking at the Thai Cookery School. Our experience setting up a Master Class with them via email was excellent, as was our correspondence with them upon arrival in Chiang Mai. After confirming a 9:30AM pickup at our hotel the following morning, we were very much looking... More

We have thought about doing a cooking class for many years but never had time to fit it in our schedule. This time I read the reviews for this school and booked the "tour of the market"-tour. A fantastic experience where the excellent instructon Pon showed us about the ingridients and told some jokes. This guy is amazing! We went... More
