Catch the skytrain to Mochit station and then only a short walk away is the amazing JJ market. Lots of food, clothing and miscellaneous stores with very reasonable prices. Could easily spend half a day here

I am looking to retire in Chiang Mai at the end of this year 2015.I been over to Thailand several times now and Chiang Mai always seems to be the place that wins as having the most to offer. It is more relaxed and a slower pace .

Very happy to find this lovely place, meeting some creative and artist friend. Not the market you expect to find things such as Chatuchak market in Bkk, but it is worth a visit.

Was expecting so much more from the earlier reviews, But This market has seen better days, It seems the vendors have moved to other locations. Maybe the only days this market functions is for the organic vegie market twice a week.

Need transport to get there and back to hotel. Not that easy. but worth it. Wednesday and Saturday market - 0600-0900h. Small with few vegetables, and produce. Loved it because it was quaint and filled with Thai farmers and locals. No PRC tourist in sight or within earshot. There were other antique stores there, but not open at 0730hrs. But... More

the jj market is one of the largest of its kind and it's good for seeing all possible kinds of goods on a relatively small area. there are all varieties of foods and many souvenirs. too bad that many vendors don't give in to haggling - this was some kind of a deal breaker for me.

Organic farmers market is held every friday from noon till 6pm. Some products are very good, others not. I highly recommend the organic yoghurt and the sprouted brown rice bread with homemade jam. Try it! The atmosphere is very nice, and there is live music there.
