We had a nice day with Richie and our small group of 6. The class size meant a lot of personal attention and seemed spot on. There is a lot of overall cooking time, nice environment, fun teacher, all combining to make this a solid value. The dishes and techniques are very basic, so a good home chef might be... More

As foodies, my husband and I absolutely had to take this class. The price/value for what you get is phenominal. We were picked up and brought to the local market to learn about different ingredients and then we went to Perm's home to pick fresh ingredients from the garden. We each had our own cook space on the covered outdoor... More

My mom, sisters, fiance and I all took this cooking class during our visit to Chiang Mai and it was fantastic. I was a little skeptical about how my fiance would do (he's more of a zip-lining kind of guy) but he could not stop raving about it. He loved it. We were picked up on time at our hotel... More

As a keen cook, travelling with a group of friends we wanted an authentic Thai cooking experience. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to a market to buy most of the ingredients, before going to Perm's family home to cook.(there is ample space in an outdoor patio with roof etc - great location). The host was full... More

Fabulous evening course. Perm is a brilliant teacher and has a great sense of humour. Visited the market which was really interesting, finding out about all the different Thai ingredients. Would highly recommend it

Well my wife loves cooking, so I go with her to cooking classes when we travel. I have been to several. This class was 10 times better than any of them, I was not bored like I usually am. The guy cracks great jokes often, He has a happy funny way of teaching that makes it interesting. I actually learned... More

We had a spare few hours in Chiang Mai and decided to do a cooking course - our hotel recommended a few different ones and we ended up deciding on Perm's evening course. Definitely the right decision! He picked us up from our hotel, and we went to the local market where we were taught the in's and out's of... More

Great experience in Chiangmai. Registered last minute for Chef Perm's course. Arranged registration and transit through my hotel. Met the group at the market which was one of the best parts of the tour. Course was pretty elementary, but great fun and great food. We made our own individual dishes rather than cooking as a team, so you can register... More

We went with our two daughters for a 3.5 hours course. It started in the market with lots of information about the ingredients and their substitutes, then we drove 13 km outside of Chiang Mai to Prems house and prepared 5 dishes each. It ended with us eating our self made dinner.Everything was perfect, the teaching, the atmosphere, very recommended!!!

This course is very well set up and Ritchie the chef is a fab teacher. He will take you through the market and show you the ingredients for the day which is really helpful. You get a very good cookery book you can take home with you as well as a full stomach!!
