Of course when you go to Thailand, you want to see the elephants. Aside from some of the other places we looked, this place appeared to be the most ethical and clean. The elephants were clearly well trained, the show was amazing! We were able to ride and interact with many of the elephants. A great time!

This place is amazing! The elephants are very intelligent and appeared very well cared for. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. It is worth the walk to the elephant nursery and be sure to buy some banana treats.

Set in the lovely Mae Sa valley, north of Chiang Mai about 40 minutes drive out. I came here with an intrepid tour group and am not sure how ethical this place is. There are elephant shows and you get to ride the elephants in pairs, which is meant to cause them pain. If you can try and find an... More

This was the main reason to visit Chiang Mai ...to see the elephants in their almost natural habitat. A short taxi trip from Chiang Mai took me to Maesa. The large area is well laid out and signposted. You can play with these adorable, intelligent, awesome creatures, feed them, wash them and then watch them play football and paint amazing... More

what a wonderful afternoon we had here, such beautiful and gentle animals and so full of fun. It was amazing to watch the elephant show; playing football, dancing, throwing darts and the highlight was the painting.absolutely fantastic! Never realised that elephants were such intelligent, playfull and funny animals. They are very well looked after and treated so well. Definitely the highlight of... More

In a zoo elephants just stand a great way off and look huge and clumsy. Thanks to Maesa Camp now I know elephants are super-mobile, playful and amusing. I really enjoyed watching them bathing in the river before the show; the show was fantastic; the ride was bumpy, but fun. The best part was when we run into three elephants... More

There was 3 of us @ 6000 Bhat each, we thought initially it was expensive but we all agreed it was well worth the money, we were given Mahout uniforms which we could keep and introduced to the elephants, at first cautious but after a few minutes we became accustomed to these beautiful friendly animals, we were taught to mount... Good show, we'll trained elephants, and it seemed like very humane treatment of the elephants by the staff. Worth a half day to see the elephants artwork and football game.

It is wonderful to watch an hour long elephant show because they are so well trained and capable to play football, dance, paint and work together on logs. Never have thought elephants can be trained so well to do so many things, the way they move seem to show they are even enjoying themselves and also being cheeky. Certainly worth... More
