I did not receive recipes from several dishes I learned to make over the course of two sessions. I took classes for dishes beyond the basic ones every cooking school teaches. All schools provide written recipes. May Kaidee promised to send recipes for dishes taught. I have inquired twice, once to the teacher, once to the school. Both requests were... More

Went to the morning cooking class with my sister and it was great! There were only 3 of us in the class in total. It was a really friendly atmosphere and we got to learn how to make loads of dishes. We booked it in advance but it turned out to be a really rainy day here so was a... More

It was lots of fun and easy for people who need to learn the basics. Our teacher Wah was very clear, very friendly and patient and her English very good. May made the dessert herself, showed us how to make it. The singing and dancing at the end is not for me, but we were in such good spirits that... More

I went for the Monday Thai Cooking class. My class had about 7 people in it. My instructor was so funny and cute. She is a natural people-person and I heard she is being prompted so she will likely be there for a while. We cooked a ton of food and the recipes (7 or 8) were super easy. You... More

My husband and I went to the May Kaidee cooking school to complete a 1/2 day vegetarian cooking class in August 2014. Our instructor was Parn and she was a lot of fun. It was a great morning learning delicious Thai vegetarian recipes. We enjoyed the cooking class and would recommend to others.

"Vegetarian Thai Cooking Course with Thai Dancing" was the strange hook in the restaurant advert. The course was very basic - could be appreciated by beginners, but for those with intermediate skill and up, don't keep your hopes too high. All ingredients are pre-cut to save instruction time. Much of the instruction is given in the cooking booklet provided -... More

Been here in January 2014 and shall return again next weekend. Ms. May Kaidee (the international stage name of Ms. Sommay Jaijong) is a professional, fun, cook, and her vegetarian cooking lessons (taught by her personally) is something to cherish and to return for again and again.

Both my boyfriend and me we are not vegetarian. But we are both so exited after the day with Tuk. Only vegetarian food will be cooked, but Tuk will tell you when to add meat if you want to cook the recipe with meat. Each of us get a recipe book with all the dished we had cooked that day... More

Being a vegetarian I couldn't be happier to find out (via Lonely Planet) about the cooking classes at May Kaidee's. I followed the 4 hour Thai cooking course in the morning (9 am-1pm) and it was worth every penny (or the 1500 baht I paid for, easily on the very clear website). The instructor of the day was Tuk, an... More
