A 10-minute boat trip from Khlong Toey Port, it’s a vast area of unspoiled mangroves and orchards with little in the way of infrastructure. Many biking tours will organize trips to the area or you can go it alone and rent a bike when you get there. « less

Even tho I am a Bangkoker, I've just knew this place a month ago. There isn't far from Bangkok but totally different from my place. They all are quite green and some people there still do gardening. In Bangkok, it was like that when I was younger.. about 20 years ago. Unfortunately, city became bigger and there are less green.... More

With group of friends, we went on biking, trekking thru a little jungle-like park. It was lovely and peaceful seeing those green scenery and feeling the fresh air. It was awesome to see those bangkok buildings and its long tiring day from the opposite side of Chaopraya River!

"The lungs of Bangkok", and what a description! Bkk has some nice parks, well, a few, but nothing like this. Get yourself to the pier at Klong Toei (take the Mrt or a taxi there) and for a measly 20 baht you can get a dodgy little boat across the river. Once there rent a bicycle, for next to nothing,... We traveled end december to beginning Jan 2014. The bike ride was a unique experience, cycling through the jungle. The weather was perfect not too hot. There was small boards around directing bikers where to ride. The surrounding gives you an indication of the every day life of the people. We hired bikes just next to the floating market for... More

It is certainly a unique experience. Upon arrival with the boat, you can rent a bike for just 200 THB for a full day. There are few cars in this area and you can spend several enjoyable hours biking around in green surroundings, on regular roads or on the small concrete roads between the houses. We also spent 1 hour... More

Bang Kranchao is an almost island in the river in Bangkok and a wonderful relaxing contrast to the busy city. It's a beautiful green place with jungle, water, wildlife, old buddhist temples and a lovely park. There is also a market at weekends, but it's actually really interesting to see it during the week when the stalls are closed and... More

Just a few minutes from Bangkok so it is very convenience for a day trip with family and friends. We started off at around 14:30, took a ferry from Wat Bangna Nok with a bunch of 5-7 grades. The ferry cost 5 bahts each (we brought our own bikes as rental is unpredictable). We got off at Wat Bang NamPhueng... More

We were given advice to cross from the Bang Na pier. When we got to Bang Krachoa on a Saturday they were out of rental bicycles so we had a choice of taking a taxi/motorbike taxi or just walking along some of the bike trails. We did try a bit of street food and enjoyed a cold beer at the... More

Take the boat from the pier near the naval dock at Klong Toei (ask a motorsai driver by the 7/11 where the pier is). It's 3B to cross the water. Once there it's best to rent a bike (100B) for the day unless you enjoy being chased by soi dogs. High lights include the Siam Fighting fish museum, set in... More
