We did more than one cooking class during our stay in Thailand. This one was not a great one. Limited explanation on how to use the ingredients, and a very quick cooking moment. Fancy place, but lack simplicity and atmosphere.

What a fantastic experience. After a quick tour of the local market, the cooking started. Cooking 5 authentic Thai dishes, learning a the local tricks of the trade this was a great experience. Our teacher was informative, personable and knowledgable. After cooking our 5 dishes we were invited to sit in the beautiful dining room for lunch. We were then... More

After 15 hours of travel, we were looking for something that would ease us into the world of Bangkok. We thought cooking school might be the perfect activity and it was! We took the afternoon class where we first watched a demonstration then made individual dishes of traditional Thai food. When the class ended, we got to enjoy our personally... More

Five of us booked an afternoon cooking school session on a recent trip to Bangkok. We had been to the Blue Elephant previously for dinner and found the food to be very good, if a bit pricey, the staff very skilled, and the atmosphere of the place to be classic Thai. With such good memories of our dining experience we... More

Staff showed us around a market near the restaurant. Good experience with them who live in that city. The cooking school was great, the teacher was friendly. I surely recommend to take part in the class.

We had the meny of the day and found it so spiced that we had trouble tasting whether the raw materials were chicken or sheep. Unless you have a strong stomach go elsewhere.

08/02/2011 Hi Fun half day course. If you love cooking, this course is right up your street! The teaching is very interactive, fun and enjoyable. I was travelling by myself and made some great friends on the course also.

Took half day course. Was fun day going to market. Guide explained different foods and let us try. Then went back to restaurant. Comfortable learning environment. Chef was funny and gave good tips. Made 5 different dishes and then had them for lunch. Well worth it.

You either like to teach or you don't and if you don't, best leave it. This goes double for chefs and cooking school instructors because, no question about it, being a chef and teaching how to cook are two quite different things. My cooking class at the famous Blue Elephant Royal Thai Cuisine restaurant in Bangkok was not unpleasant (with... More

I booked the cooking school by email in early December for 14th January. As they gave me a confirmation number on the email I thought it would be fine. I did however email them 4 times prior to turning up with absolutely no response. When we did turn up at a cost of A$40 by taxi we were told by... More
