Attended the cooking school with two other friends. Our class was for half a day including a visit to the markets. After the visit to the market the class began at the Blue Elephant restaurant. The facilities were very good which enhanced our experience there. The approach of the classes is to demonstrate the making of the food while the... More

As always it was a morning well spent. Picked up much more on this visit. The school is well laid out. All aspects were well polished. The meals prepared excellent. All dishes I had not previously learned. Highly recommended

When my family came to Thailand it was high on our list to go to a cooking school. I found the Blue Elephant and this was a wonderful hands-on cooking experience. They first demonstrate the technique and then you have your own cooking station and do it yourself. You make an entire 4 course meal and then when ready you... More

My husband and I took their morning course and loved it. It is more expensive than most (about $120) but is in a beautiful facility and was fun and comprehensive. Also very each to get to - you can see the building from the nearby BTS Station. We visited a local market first with the chef (which was not very... More

My team was visiting Bangkok and working with the leadership team of a corporation in Thailand. One evening, they took us to the Blue Elephant cooking school and we learned how to make Green Curry Paste, Green Curry Chicken and a delicious Prawn recipe. It was a lot of fun and we actually got to eat our own food which... More

This was my sixth time to attend cooking class at Blue Elephant Cooking School. I took the vegetarian course in Dec 2015. I was so lucky! ! ! I was under the supervision of Ms Sandra, the daughter of Khun Nooror Somany Steppe!. She is fabulous! I've learnt quite a lot from her. I can cook the same taste after... More

I was enrolled in the 6 Day Chef Course. From a thorough agenda that covers Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts, to the excellent instruction provided by the Chefs, a well equipped professional Kitchen to learn in, to the excellent dining experience in the restaurant, to the tour of the Food Service manufacturing Facility, to observing the passion and care Chef Noor... This would be a 5star rating but they started off so slowly and with confusion about bookings etc. Once en route to the market by way of skytrain, it was fun (we were happy to explore by skytrain, but it did eat up some time). The market has nothing to do with the food you will be cooking there later... More

For our last night in Bangkok, my sister and I enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant. The food was wonderfully presented, delicious and authentic (adjusted for western palates as requested!). We were never rushed, the attendant took the time to explain the dishes, make recommendations and adjustments for my vegetarian companion. The manager was diligent in welcoming the patrons... More

I’d spent a day and a half with a private tour guide seeing the sights and riding the rides and wanted to do something different. I do a lot of cooking at home (by no means am I a chef or a foodie.. I just like to eat good food) so I asked my guide if he knew of any... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
