Great views of the city

Amazing views from this rooftop bar but very, very expensive compared to the rest of Bangkok, for drinks.

It's pretty pricey but doesn't cost you anything to get in and I guess you could easily get in, take photos and leave without buying anything. The views are nice but it's no New York or Hong Kong. You do have to be there for 6pm though before it gets super busy - and to catch the sunsets. Other than... More

Underground RR station-type lobby, rather abrupt and unpleasant staff, and an extra charge - for what, we never could find out. But the breakfast was nice. Luxury suite was plain as dishwater and the bar staff was certainly less than cordial. View may be worth it but I think not.

Might be best to try a less popular skybar. Too crowded at 11 PM. Trip Advisor needs to shorten comment requirement.

The Hangover Bar...a must visit for its fantastic views of Bangkok, featured in the movie The Hangover. Take the lift to the 64th floor where you are warmly greeted. Drinks are not cheap but worth the visit.

Almost a must to see Bangkok from here. Prices are high but views are just unbeatable. You will not get hangover after this ;-) Elevator queues might be long.

The bar here has a good place to spend time and see Bangkok from above. The view of Bangkok is very good day or night. The drinks are as high as the bar but worth the money.

In Bangkok, you pay you beer an average of $2-3. At Vertigo, the rooftop open bar, you pay it at least $12! but the view is worth every penny. visit at least once. Reservation is a must.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
