Almost all the restaurants I've visited in Bangkok were more famous than this one, but Jim Thompson Cafe was the best for me. That's because thai food was either too strong or too salty for me all the times (even when I asked them to please put less salt). Here the food is more to a foreigner's taste, I'd say.... More

Beware of some of the staff when it comes to pocketing the change. Have just had lunch at the Jim Thompson House cafe, and what a great place it is, with tables on the edge of the pond full of colourful carp, huge ones. The smoothies and lime and ginger juices were delightful, and the Tom Yum great, a very... More

This was a lovely find. The house was such a great place to visit, very peaceful and a guided tour which was useful for additional information. We so enjoyed the visit that we decided to come back for dinner, we were staying very close by which probably swayed us too. The food was delicious although the starters were better than... More

We had a snack (spring rolls, prawns in filo, prawn balls) in the outside bar area overlooking the fish pond. Nice food and nice atmosphere. A little expensive but you'd expect that from a cafe attached to an attraction. Nice little stop before making our way home in the heat.

If you feel like escaping the hustle of Bangkok come to this secluded gem. You'll pay a little more than street food but get amazing quality thai food very quickly from friendly wait staff. On weekends they also provide thai dance as entertainment. Definitely be sure to order the steamed dumplings & chicken pandam. Delicious!

The restaurant at Sala Deng has closed and will not open again. The wep site is not updated not even after direct contact with The main office!!!. Very incompetent and shameful indeed.

There are far better places to eat in Bangkok than at this place. I've eaten here three times and each time it has been the same. The food is definitely over priced for what you get and is sub par to other Bangkok Restaurants where you can eat for 1/4 of the price. The drinks are okay and the service... More

We have been to this restaurant many times but tonight was the last time. Green Curry Chicken - really not much chicken and no taste. Tourist trap? Yum So Oh - Pomelo Salad - worst ever!! A very small draught beer THB 120!!!! (I got two for this price) I can not recommend this place any more.

Can't say that we were impressed with the Jim Thompson cafe, Saladaeng at all. The pad thai was very ordinary and the crab meat cake was awful - overspiced with cumin - totally wrong seasoning for a delicate crab dish. It is just another one of those restaurants that targets the farang and tourist markets. Relative to other places, it... More

My husband and I were strolling around Saladaeng trying to find Anna's Cafe and instead came across Jim Thompson Cafe. The food is price reasonably. The food is delicious. They have traditional Thai dishes to American/western food. We will definitely go back if we stay in the Saladaeng/Sathorn area.
