Ok, first off, the sky train is not an attraction any more than the subway is. It's just an elevated train instead of one in a tunnel. However, it is easy to ride, just like the subway, and gets you where you want to go quickly. You can look out the windows and see Bangkok go by as you go. more

I don't understand why this is an attraction because it is simply a means to get you places! It is definitely better than the London underground, being cooler and with some views, but can still get very busy. Quicker than a taxi due to the Bangkok traffic if it covers the area you want to go. more

Easy, cheap, safe and convenient way to get around the city. We enjoyed using it as much for the experience as for getting to places like Siam Paragon and MBK Shopping Centres. You buy tickets from the ticket machines. Staff do not sell ticks over the counter. Machines only take coins, not notes, but staff at the booths will exchange... more

I have always used the underground in the UK. But the Sky train and MRT train are just the best. The stations are well manned, lots of security, shops, very friendly staff, speak english, on time, very fast, clean, air con, lots of announcements, cheap and the list can go on. I was so impressed with them as I work... more

I would reccomend every tourist to travel via sky train its cheap convenient and fast. Taxi drivers mess you up so bad at times, they take you to odd places or via longer routes, to increase the meter readings. And bangkok traffic is so bad and it takes a lot more time. Best way to explore bangkok more

What a great way to get a different perspective of Bangkok! Travelling at the same height as some of the buildings gave us a totally different view of Bangkok. Seeing the traffic jammed roads below and knowing that we were in airconditioning moving smoothly along the line was a nice break. Getting tickets from the station was easy, although we... more

Bangkok's sky train is great for getting to certain places on the route but you can't get every where on it. They are extending it though, and when it goes to the new Suvarnabhumi airport it could make the airport transfer a lot quicker. I like to use it to get around in rush hour but I still use taxis... more

The skytrain is our main way of public transport while in Bangkok. It's cheap, very fast, never crouded and stops at all the places we want to visit everytime we are there. MBK (SHOPPING!!!), Silom, The weekend market, the river peer to take a long boat and exlore the grand palace and a lot of other temples. Hey, you can... more

The BTS is very useful and fairly easy to use. I've had taxi drivers refuse me and instead told me to take the BTS instead (to get there faster). During rush hours (3pm to 7pm), taking the BTS can often save you an hour or more of travel time. I'd love to see the BTS expanded. Also, it'd be easier... more

Excellent but does not venture far out at all. It sure beats the traffic though. It is an elevated subway that is inexpensive, very clean, air conditioned and easy to figure out. more
