A day to fill and not sure what to do? Buy a Day Ticket for the BTS (Skytrain) and travel end to end on both lines. You'll need a BTS Map and a sense of adventure. Each station has a map on the lower floor depicting places of interest close by, lots to see that the usual tourist doesn't get... More

One of the best ways to get in and around Bangkok, especially to all the malls as siam paragon, emporium or central embassy. All with direct access. Prices are reasonable, just very crowded during certain times!!!

Great to get around Bangkok if you don't want to get stuck in traffic for hours. Its reasonable priced and The timing between one train to another is not more then 5-10min depending on the time if day. Only downside we experienced is the traffic during rush hour in the evening time, there should be more trains running.

Since we were staying in Sukhumvit area which is one of the busiest roads in Bangkok , we found the sky train very much helpful in going around , that too you get to avoid the heavy traffic. I would definitely suggest to have a map of BTS skytrain route handy and it would be real fun and easy going... More

My husband and I used public transportation to get around Bangkok on a recent visit to Thailand and I highly recommend it! We were so impressed by the BTS Skytrain's cleanliness, politeness of other riders, helpful staff and ease of "figuring out" the maps etc with only speaking English. Tickets easy to access at the machines, very helpful staff, and... More

It takes a few questions to get to understand how the BTS works, but once understood, it is cheap and easy. The staff at the counter will change your notes to coins, count the stations and most fares are from 15 to 44 baht. Again finding the right platform just ask and every Thai person will tell you. A 10... More

I was amazed by the Skytrain system in Bangkok. Cheap, clean, always on-time and gets you to a vast number of areas in the city. This is the best way to beat many of the traffic problems if you always travel by taxi. I've never had a bad experience with the BTS system. On occasion, some people might find the... More

BTS (Skytrain) is the best way to get around Bangkok. The service is fast, reliable and the carriages are very well maintained, we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a train. During peak times they can be very crowded but that's to be expected as others have commented you get a great view of Bangkok while... More

Bangkok BTS or skytrain is the most convenient way for visitors to get around the heart of Bangkok like Siam, Silom, Sukhumvit. I recommend you buy a one-day pass, and you will be able to take a bird's-eye view of Bangkok. See how to buy a ticket in this blog: http://thailandtravelguide-sawasdee.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_4318.html
