Fast, clean & easy to use. Stations are numbered so easy to work out where you are going. Buying tickets from machines very straight forward. Can be busy at peak times but trains ate air conditioned so it's not a problem.

Bangkok's sky trains provide excellent value for money. They are very clean and an efficient mode of transport. There was a station within a short walking distance from our hotel and we used the train a couple of times to travel to central pier where we could transfer to the river boats which would take us to many of Bangkok's... It's the best way to travel around Bangkok (it links to metro and public boat too)and you can calculate your time as you want. And the air-conditioner is quite strong, so it can relieve the heat outside. Open everyday 6am til midnight. Besides, you can see Bangkok view from above. Don't underestimate traffic jam in Bangkok, it's crazy!!! Take skytrain!

Easiest way to get around the city. Careful when passing through tollgate , Bags or parcels carried in front of you can cause the bars to close early. You will get hit the hip/thigh area, this will leave quite sore. Remember carry bag high over the bars or behind closely you, if in front keep the bag very close to... More

Definitely one of the most efficient and cheapest ways to get around Bangkok. It's quite easy to buy the tickets (each station has its cost and that's the amount of Bahts you need to insert into the machine), people line up nicely to each door, no one pushes their way through, the trains have air-conditioning (very strong!) - only good... We used the skytrain to get around BKK. It was scenic, clean, on time, quick and affordable. (In comparison to the train system in Sydney!) A great way to get around Bangkok!

Even so the Skytrain is not a comfortable transportation, it is by far the best available in Bangkok; that tells you something how far behind Thailand is when it comes to mass transportation. Do not attempt to board the train before 10am, you might not make it to the platform and need to wait for a long time in the... More

The BTS (Skytrain system) really is the most effective and efficient way to get around Bangkok. Whilst it does not yet cover ALL parts, the network is still expanding and you can reach most places you'll want to visit. Or at least get close enough to then walk or take a motorcyle taxi or tuk-tuk or taxi for the last... More

The skytrain, is a fantastic way to get from a-b in this manic city. The trains are pristinely clean, very regular and very punctual (every 3 minutes at peak times). The down side is that they get extremely busy and don't expect anyone to allow you to pass them or give you any quarter - is strictly dog eat dog... More

The skytrain (BTS) and the MRT (subway) are ideal means of transportation in the city of angels: clean, fast, air conditioned, cheap: there is no better way to reach your destination, provided of course that your destination is close to one of the stations. New MRT lines are being built while more stations have been added to the BTS.
