We used both the subWay in the sky train but in my opinion the subway is better. I prefer to be underground where it is cool. Of cOurse bOth miss the traffic- the horrible Bangkok traffic. We stayed near one of the canals which neatly connected with the subway. The pricing seems abouT The same.

If you want a pleasant trip in Bangkok, avoid taking the BTS during rush hours (8 am - 9 am and 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm)

We always use the BTS skytrain to avoid a traffic that is very convenient, clean and fast. But we don't understand why it is stopped time to time in between the station.

Bangkok is one of city with bad traffic jam. Using sky train or BTS would be more advantage. Cheap, easy and never stuck on badly traffic jam. The signboard in every station is clear and you won't get confused with the language. The fare is minimal 15 bath and maximal 55 bath per way.

Traffic is a big problem, sometime we spent 2hours in a taxi. BTS skytrain is the best choice to avoid the heavy traffic in Bangkok. The price is cheaper than a taxi.

1.theres only 2 lines and 1 transfer station. You'll never get confused!(that 2 lines are enough to travellers. You can go almost anywhere you want by skytrain.) 2.it's really cheap! Bangkok is famous for traffic jam. Skytrain can be reasonable choice than a taxi or tuktuk. 3.IT HAS THEIR MAP ON THE BACK OF TICKET. Can you imagine how much... More

I use it all the times. Traveller in Bangkok during rush hour could be very hectic. 2 km can take an hour.

I always used the skytrain during my stay in Bangkok, because it was fast and clean, even was very crowded during rush hours. The price was cheaper than the others.

Bangkok's skytrain system used to provide a safe and comfortable travelling experience throughout the city's business, commercial and entertainment districts. But in recent years the system has been greatly expanded to outlaying areas resulting in an increase in passenger number, especially at morning and evening rush hours. At these times the platforms and carriages are dangerously overloaded. It is like... More

I lived in Bangkok, Rajdamri area, from 2012 to 2013 and took the Skytrain to travel everywhere I needed to go. It's as easy to use as Washington DC metro or New York City subways if that means anything to you. You can purchase a ticket card in person at any stop for any amount of use. You can have... More
