Fantastic place, Excellent service, Guaranteed to catch. Approximately 300 baht in taxi -although you could pay more depending on Traffic and tolls. We brought a cool box with drinks and food, although you can buy everything there. Can be expensive if not well equipped but well worth it. We brought our own rods/baitrunners etc and saved us a lot of... More

Gave up after spending 6 hours at the fishing park as I was already aching all over after so many fights. Total spending of about 5700 baht includes taxi from hotel in sukhumvit area to the fishing park, day fishing, guide, fish food, food and drinks and taxi back to hotel. Total catch was about 10 fishes weighing from 17kg... More

Second trip here did not disappoint. Travelled with some friends from Australia for our annual fishing trip and the super pond came up with the goods again. Prices have jumped since last visit, but around $100 Australian each was a bargain. This included all bait, tackle and guides. Food and drink was extra but still very cheap. All up, the... More

Well stocked once in a life time chance to catch one of these monster fish caught 4 while I was there all over 20kg mark largest being 33 kg well worth paying for a guide. Keep your fluids up most important the guy fishing next to me ended up in hospital with heat exhaustion.

After watching Jeremy Wade, Zeb Hogan (monster fish), and Jakub Vagner (fish warrior), I finally got to experience the thrill of reeling in the BIG Catch.. I have no experience fishing, and yet caught a 25kl Mekrong Catfish! Now I have the photo just like all those professionals to brag!

Bungsamran fishing park is unique in that it offers the traveling angler a chance to do battle with some of the worlds biggest freshwater fish. There are other smaller waters in Thailand that have sprung up in the wake of Bungsamran, but none can offer the chance of a really big unknown fish, as most are only a few years... More

Not being a keen fisherwoman, I thought Bungsamran was good, but my husband loves to fish and he thought this was place was absolutely awesome. He caught about 12 catfish ranging between 10-20kg in the 6 hours we spent there. They all put up a fight and were so fun to reel in. The bungalows are basic but worth it... More

Wow! There are some big fish in this lake. A full day's fishing 9am till 8pm is very tiring. Especially when you have caught 16 Mekong catfish with a total weight of 500lbs. We booked through Fish Thailand - Eddie Mounce who is English & speaks perfect Thai and he does everything for you. www.fishthailand.co.uk We will definitely use him... More
