Whilst a beautiful spot, Khao Yai is a large complex with no internal transport (no taxis, duk duks, or scooters) and the visitor centre, which is 14km from the guardhouse, is also reasonably far from the Nam Toks (waterfalls) and other things to see. Unless you have your own transport, or are going on a tour, do not attempt.
