spent a few hours at the park during a very busy bussiness trip. the park is beautiful and there is much to see. decided to walk to the Menghuan Pond near the volcano as it was sign-posted as only 1.2km from the parking lot - be warned! the hike is not for the faint hearted - although the trail starts... I love the beautiful scenery and the scent of fresh air here. There are so many walking trails to go on so if you just take your time and explore the place, you will see such wonderful natural views. Will definitely be back again to this beautiful country.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon and was just nice for sunset. But it is not advised to go at that time if you are taking public bus because their 108 bus only serve until 1730hrs, and we happened to take de last trip so we couldn't stop at some areas to enjoy the scenery. It is best if you... More

Had a good ride today up and around Yangmingshan. Long climb up but it was worth it for the fun descent. It was great to see so many people doing the ride.

The park is HUGE! So close to the city center but once you reach there, the air becomes so cooling and fresh. If you want to try walking on trails, you should try the Erzhiping trail because it is almost effortless. We stopped by Xiaoyoukou and was amazed by the fumaroles. They are like air vents for the earth crust.... More

We took the 1717 Bus from Taipei Main Station to the Yangmingshan Park Headquarters stop. The rangers recommended that (given the age and experience range of our group--which included a child and a person with knee problems) that we take the park shuttle and explore Menghuan Lake area on foot. The more experienced climbers could then hike up Qixing Mt.... More

Nice place! I enjoyed the hot spring! The view was great. Easy drive from Taipei. There are some good locations to stop by. You may do some hiking and enjoy the good view.

The Park is very big area. The greenery scenery is beautiful to take photograph, therefore my bf and I went there to take part of our photo-shoot. The mosquito are super huge and super annoying. We got stung few second when we step in. The black forest is very unique and beautiful. Recommend to visit this place if you got... More

We did not expect to see geysers and such a beautiful park so close to the city!! Although it was a rainy day and we were reluctant to get out of the van but our enthusiastic tour guide got us interested and thank goodness he did or it would have been a great miss!! I would love to go back... More

The scenery was really really good. It was a refreshing sight compared to the hard and ubiquitous concrete blocks in Taipei. Although the Xiaoyoukeng sulfurous vent cannot really be compared to those in Japan, it is still a sight to behold. Trekking is possible but only for those who can walk for quite a bit. There are trails that are... More
