It is easy to go with many trails that you can choose, if you have longer time, you can hike up to the top of Taipei which takes about 2 hours if you start from Lengshuikeng. If you do not have too much time, you can still be able to pick a trail that suits your time. I would recommend... More

I love to go to Yangmingshan for the hot spring...just book a hotel room and you have your own tub with hot spring...order some mountain chicken and bamboo soup pot...the most relaxing and peaceful experience.

Yang MingShan National Park is absolutely stunning with many beautiful places for sightseeing and the great hiking route and if you do not want to hike they also have a minibus taking you to different viewpoints with a tap of your EasyCard. May get extremely windy and shroud some time but the sights are worth it. Everyone visiting should spend... More

This is a review for the Mt Qixing peak trail (七星山). Directions: Take the train to Taipei Main Station, exit Y6 (quite a walk!), then take bus 260 to Yangmingshan. We alighted at the second last stop (the one beside 7/11 and starbucks), and walked up for about 20mins to the entrance of Miaopu entrance. There are 2 ways (that... More

You can just drive through the park and enjoy the green surroundings. You have the best views of Taipei city but only if you're lucky and you're there in a clear day.

Yangminshan Park was our best experience outside of Taipei. It is not far from Taipei and is very beautiful. We booked a car with a driver for 4 hours and Yangminshan Park was one of the sites he recommended us to visit. The ride there is pretty nice, we were going up following a circling road with a nice view... More

This park is just around 30 minute bus ride from downtown. You breathe entirely different air there, and the terrain is fascinating. Check out especially several spots with volcanic steam coming out of ground, which remind you that you're standing actually on a live volcano. Yep, that's YMS National Park!

A vast wonderful place that can't possibly be covered in one day. There's a few trails to choose from for the hikers. Took almost a whole hour for me to get to the highest point and the hike down was awesome, going past the sulfur fumes. At the end of the trail there's always a bus station. Bus takes you... More
