We managed to catch the beautiful cherry blossoms(and the big crowds, some of whom are only interested in posing for photos, not the blooms) which will be gone in a couple of weeks but will be replaced by other lovely flowers in season. We got in through Carpark 2 leading to a lovely and less crowded area but have to... More

I was intending to go and see cherry blossom but it wasn't the right season yet but when I checked with the visitor centre, they were very nice enough to recommend me know a route that I can catch some... very cool to go in early Jan, love the weather and there were lots of other beautiful flowers though not... Lovely scenery and nature, for those who wants something quiet and away from the bustling crowd, this is the place to go. To get there, take bus no. S9 from Beitou MRT station and alight at Yangming Park (most passengers will alight there so do not worry about missing the stop). Ride takes roughly 15-20 minutes.

Check the flower blossoming time before your go. Spending your time at the 櫻花林, a cafe down a route at the back of the flower clock.

Yangmingshan is really big and has multiple attractions. So plan ahead and talk to people. We booked two taxis, but really didn't need to. Cause there were plenty of taxis there willing to grab. Though at the end we went to this lilly farm place and there weren't any taxis there. Our day started our drizzly and then the sun... More

Nice trails in the mountains and volcanos, in the middle of bamboos and trees, with beautiful view to Taipei city. Birds, eagles ans squirrels everywhere. We enjoyed climb the QiXing 2 highest peaks, over the cloud and far from crowded streets of Taipei ! To go there, take bus 260 from Taipei station or bus 紅5 from Shilin MRT. Then... More

We went to Yang Ming Shan last week (mid Feb) and was amazed at the large number of cherry blossom flowers blooming. The main area to see cherry blossom is near the Flower Clock. We wandered around admiring the various species of cherry blossoms & took lots of lovely photos there. Be prepared to wait for your turn to take... More
