We booked a minivan to come here. First stop, the flower clock. It was raining and windy, hence we were cold and did not really enjoy the experience. We walked for about 15 minutes up a lane just by the side of the clock to see a small waterfall. Nothing spectacular.then returned to look for signs to the visitor centre.... More

My climb of Mt Qixing, one of the highest peak in Yangmingshan national park was at the end of winter, the good thing was that there were plenty of Sakura along the way to admire, but the bad thing was that it was really misty at the top and I wasn't able to see the clear skies or beautiful Northern... The mountains of Yangmingshan are spectacular and easy to climb. Take the bus from the Jiantan MRT station to the park terminal, walk to the visitor center and from there to the trail that climbs Qixing Mountain. Many other trails are easy to get to, especially on weekends when there is a shuttle bus running.

There are heaps of options in the park for hiking or views. One of the best things is that many of the sights are accessible by the shuttle bus so you don't have to do long walks if that is not your thing. We started at the visitor centre, where we had some excellent help from a guide with wonderful... More

Just love the cherry blossom we saw there. The other flowers are great too. Took some really good pictures there. One downside is there are too many tourists from China bothering me, and ask me to take pictures for them. I mean I am not a professional photographer. I am enjoying the view like most tourists. Pls leave me alone.... More

Flower season ends the day after my visit and I was told by locals this is not the best view as cherry blossoms have wiltered. I went on. Saturday afternoon and the crowd was manageable. Take a bus to and fro from Taipei Main station and try to secure a seat if possible because th bus ride up is not... More

Fabulous view here, it is really a big, big park, and the view here is just so great, you can look at the mountains and also there are many types of flowers making the whole picture colourful and nice ! Definitely going back next time.

Good hiking place, but be sure to wear warm clothes as it quite cold on the way to the top. Also, bring your own drinks and snacks

Went on a raining day which was extremely cold. Didn't get to see much nor walk much due to the strong wind and rain. Managed to view the sakura, was pretty. Don't bother to get the ticket for bus 108 if only alighting at only 2 places as recommended. Paid for it but didn't make good use for it as... More
