Spend hours going through all the sections, it was a lovely day out. You sit down, have a coffee and just dive in the sea of books!

I always pay a visit to the bookstore whenever traveling. Went to Eslite bookstore this afternoon. I could say thousands books there, looks good, fancy color, tempted to read, however they're all in Chinese language. So little book for foreigner. Nothing to buy here for non Chinese. International book writer and best seller can find anywhere. What I'm looking for... More

This was a great bookstore! Fun to browse --- There is a level with additional handmade gift-type items, and artisans making crafts. The day I was there, there were glassblowers. Only thing is there really wasn't a great selection of children's books (in Chinese) or kids' toys. Definitely worth a visit, and a look at the architecture ---

This is a 24-hour bookstore. Once, most of the attractions close in the early evening and you've already had dinner and still want to go somewhere, this would be decent place to linger. It is near the subway station. However, the selection of English books is rather limited though.

Great book selections as well as goods with creative designs. We also visited the tea shop on the 3rd floor. A great rest bid after a long visit to Taipei 101. The food was not cheap but they were good, especially the desserts. We bought some books and received 15% discount for purchase of over NTD1500, a special in December.... More

I could have spent hours in this shop. Huge range of fiction, plus nice atmosphere and helpful staff. It's a bookworm's paradise.

Read a few reviews and it didn't really turn out the way I imagined. Yes it's a 5-storey building but only 1 floor is filled with books (tonnes of it in Chinese). Other floors are some other shops and cafes. Good hangout if you're a book lover since they provide you with a sitting place (I enjoyed myself ?). No... More

Definitely the place to find heaps of Chinese books and magazines, but also lots of international books, too (and not just English either). I noticed that Monocle magazine, which is priced at around US $25 in asia, is about $15 here. Other magazines were similarly reasonable. Lots of places to relax and read, and they keep the place impossibly quiet,... More
