Taipei has DOZENS of night markets. But a lot of them are differentiated as ones that are "good for shopping" and ones that are "good for food" Tonhua Night Market is a good balance of both. The shopping is great, the food choices are great, and it is easily accessible and central. Lots of fun shopping is available, even for... More

The Linjiang Night Market, also known as the Tonghua Night Market, is the night market closest to downtown Taipei. It is short, but it has almost everything in it. In the day the street is a traditional market. You could drop by and take a look if you are curious about what a traditional market is like in Taiwan. Tourists... More

Brought a friend to visit the place. This night market is easy access by MRT and have some nice food around the area. We arrived like 6 pm, still not so crowded as I thought which is good for us to walk slowly to explore the place. As usual, we ate some typical street food, like stinky tofu, oyster pancake,... Although not as long as the famous Raohe or Shilin night market, there's quite a number of good food available in this night market. Particularly enjoyed the mutton vermicelli and hotplate.

Anyone who visits Taiwan must visit its night markets! There are many all over the country. My favourite in Taipei is the Tonghua Night Market. It's conveniently located in the middle of the city. This particular night market not only has a smorgasbord of different foods and drinks for you to try and buy, but it also has many knickknacks,... More

Our last visit to this Night Market was in January 2014, but it was in the day-time and not much to see besides a food market. Our earlier visit was in November 2009. It was at the height at night-time. This time we went also at night time, and we have it to be more or less the same. But... More

Just 10 minutes' walk from LiuZhangLi train station and near Taipei 101, Tonghua night market offers most local delicacies especially the yummy smelly toufu, teppanyaki...and some shopping. There's an Italian guy selling tiramisu. Very local and authentic. There's also a whole street of pet shops and it's pretty exciting and heartbreaking at the same time to see cute puppies in...
