Although not as long as the famous Raohe or Shilin night market, there's quite a number of good food available in this night market. Particularly enjoyed the mutton vermicelli and hotplate.

Anyone who visits Taiwan must visit its night markets! There are many all over the country. My favourite in Taipei is the Tonghua Night Market. It's conveniently located in the middle of the city. This particular night market not only has a smorgasbord of different foods and drinks for you to try and buy, but it also has many knickknacks,... More

Our last visit to this Night Market was in January 2014, but it was in the day-time and not much to see besides a food market. Our earlier visit was in November 2009. It was at the height at night-time. This time we went also at night time, and we have it to be more or less the same. But... More

Just 10 minutes' walk from LiuZhangLi train station and near Taipei 101, Tonghua night market offers most local delicacies especially the yummy smelly toufu, teppanyaki...and some shopping. There's an Italian guy selling tiramisu. Very local and authentic. There's also a whole street of pet shops and it's pretty exciting and heartbreaking at the same time to see cute puppies in... This place has lots of street food! You must try some! :) I personally couldn't take the smell of stinky tofu, so I didn't try it. But the rest are yummy! Check out their shoes and mobile phone accessories. It's a bargain! Don't rush your shopping. The strip is not so long. Take your time! :)

We went to the Lin Jiang night market on a Tuesday raining night. Although the market is small in comparison with market like Shilin, it is still a fun place to eat and shop. Just in case that you don't particular in the mood for the night market snacks, there is plenty of Chinese/Taiwanese restaurants situated along Tonghua Street. The... More

If you're looking to experience good street food, the atmosphere, and a smaller night market then check this one out. It was within walking distance of my hotel (Hotel Eclat Taipei) as well as pretty close to Taipei 101 My favorite by far was the Shilin night market but this was more convenient to where I was staying.

Best night market for food in taipei. Extremely affordable and tasty. There are many taxis around. Took a taxi from taipei 101 and reached in five minutes. One of my favorite night markets.

Not so keen with shopping, we went to this place just to look aroud, mingle with the locals and take a closer look with Taiwanese street foods. It's a good experience. There's a lot of things for sale and if you want to go bargain shopping, this is the place to be. An added bonus is the nearby pet shops,... More
