It was alright, there was nothing much to see. If you're into architecture you will find some beautiful textures and details that please the eye. Some restaurants and clubs were built around, perhaps too close, not leaving enough space to move around the building properly! There are mostly LGBT bars around the church. I did not enter the building. Tip:... More

Original establishment was mainly for stores and shops and restaurants for Japanese and Taiwan locals back to 1908. Today you still can get some feelings of the past through display of match boxes, posters, labels, china wares, typewriter, sewing machines. English, Japanese and traditional Chinese tri-lingual indroduction boards depict the past glories of this place. Now, this historical is reboran... More

This is a historical building right next to Ximen station exit 1. There is nothing much to explore inside, one can easily spend less than half an hour inside the Red House. Just drop by for to grab a nice photos of thiss building if you happen to visit to XMD. Do not find XMD to be interesting anyways..

Just off the busy shopping district of Ximen, the red building is surrounded by numerous bars, pubs and fancy shops, many of them gay or at least gay friendly. Lovely, lively and colourful place

Outside the Ximen station, there is the Ximen Red House. On weekends, there are artists selling their crafts.

The building is near the MRT and is one of the few old buildings that isn't a temple in Taipei. Inside there is not much to see other than an a small exhibition on the buildings history and a cafe.

There was a crafts bazaar right out front when we visited, which was fun. Other than that the actual building is just that, a building. Can't miss it though if you're going to XiMenDing - - so might as well snap a picture.

The Red House was my first port of call when I got off Ximen MRT station. This historic building is worth a visit as you find design gift shops showcasing local graphics design. You might find a postcard or two and other unique knick knacks designed by local artists. There is also a cafe here and I spent time browsing... More
