The octagon structure of the building is unique and got to learn the history of it was a great experience for me personally. A beautifully preserved architecture. Nothing much to do in the night in the museum but glad to see the historical stuffs contributed by the past citizens. Sad that I didn't visit this place when I was in... More

Had a nice afternoon stroll in Ximen Red House. Items display were mainly exclusively made by various artists. They are very friendly introducing their products even if you don't buy them.

The building is well maintained and it has nice quaint shops inside for you to browse and shop. Prices though are not cheap as it is all handmade or are designer products. Place is clean as well.

Situated at the crowded Ximending. If you are at the Ximending, it is definitely worth to drop in .The red-bricked building is more than 100 years old. You can read its history just outside at the entrance. Many boutique style shops are inside selling old items, souvenirs etc mostly catering to tourists. Good service with English and Japanese speaking guides.Exhibitions... More

Ximen house has a colourful history. Its close to Ximending, the night spot of Taipei. Basically it used to be somewhat of a brothel. Now its been turned into a shop/museum with people selling odd things. Next to Ximen building is a good store with fruit infused, flavoured and scented condoms and incense sticks. Dont shop from the building because... More

A good short lesson into the Ximending area. Good exhibits. I realised my two grade schoolers have not seen a real typewriter before?! Good eyeopeners. Free admission.

Not much to comment about Red House as to us is just a building, but the crowded Ximending is a good choice for young people or visitors, if you like young, energetic and lively shopping atmosphere, or just want to hang out a few hours till late night.
