It is a great place that having some culture issues with the building and have some creative items that you can buy in here. Moreover, aside the building, there are bars and beverage shops open and it is another environment compare with the day time.

Here is the place that you need to spend few hours, best to visit at night. Beside visit the historical Red House, there are many street stalls at night, including the local snacks. A few streets at Ximending, many choices of food, restaurants, fast food, street snacks depends on your preference. Good place for shopping especially fashion for youngsters, the... More

A place for tourists with limited time to shop. Not many shops and most of them for local fashion. We found one popular seafood shop and tried local seafood shop, we were impressed by the food. Nothing really special about the shopping unless you are under 24 years old.

Still remember all the cute stuff I saw there. They have a lot of arts and crafts item. The stores were all opened by independent designers and you can find very unique designs which you cannot find elsewhere. I would like to go back and spend some time there just to feel artsy!!!

A place that is hard to miss. It's red, octagonal, and justifiably worth a second look. Not a traditional Chinese building. Houses relics and contemporary art. There's a cafe and souvenir shop inside filled with cute and costly goods. Cafes outside were empty and were probably meant for a night crowd. Should come back when the former marketplace now theater... More

It is nice building, inside was some exhibition. But there is the thing: first time we were there, there was a little market full of home-made things. Its just only at weekends, I am not sure if it was only Sunday..

Unless you are into contemporary Chinese music history (can't exactly recall the era), you would not find the exhibits extremely interesting. Nonetheless, good place to visit when you are Ximending just so that you tell tell people you have been here.

The Red House is a nice building and the interior spacious. It is located at a place which is full of youthful vitality, and that's because young people like to go there. So, there are shops around which cater to this market. Otherwise, it is just another shopping and dining area.

This house with history sits in the mist of Ximending which is very popular with youngsters. Thus, the building itself will seems out of place. On weekends, it gets busy, not because people are visiting it, but rather the stalls which opens outside Red House. You can give it a miss if you have other things to do. Visit only... More
