The street is very beautiful. And have many delicious food can buy to eat. But the best time to tour is in night. I want to tour there again.

This is my second time to visit Tainan, but first time heard about Shennong Street. An unique place whereby you can explore the history of 'Old Port' during Dynasty Qing. They managed to rebuild and take care of old building and promote this history building to the visitors and tourist. Yu can find very nice pictures of old street, old... More

A quiet place with a few handcraft souvenir shops during the day, this nice little street with antiquated houses comes alive at night to host unique and interesting bars and cafes. Not particularly exciting but it's worth a stroll if you're tired of all the big-city fair. In the day you can take a break and check out the Agriculture... More

We decided to stay at the Ryokan on this street instead of the 5 stars hotel because it's quite and full of stories in this small alley. There is a historical site here right next to our Ryokan. Very romantic.

This was a very poetic street once. However, now it's full of business and somethings that doesn't belong this. What a pity. I hope some day it will regain its quietness and simpleness. 神農街以前很美很有詩意,但現在充滿了商業氣息,少了一點點那種純樸之感,到處都是觀光客也抹煞了她本來的美。希望有一天她可以重新回到她本來安靜質樸的樣子,呈現出完美的一面。

Love this street with lots of old houses. There are shops along the street selling unique local products. The day and night view can get quite different so come during both to have different experiences.

It was very nice to discover this road! There are some cute little bars with interesting decor, independent designer shops and temples.

A visit to this narrow street was included in our walking tour of central Tainan. The premises in this street consist of houses, restaurants, speciality shops and artisan/craft workshops. The premises are all old and the shops and workshops are interesting for browsing and/or purchasing. Many of the items are unusual and the crafts are generally of high quality. This... More

I went there in an hot and sunny afternoon. It was great to see the temples, the old houses and the beautiful decorated windows and doors. Stroll on the brick lanes that craved with poetries and patterns. Imagine waking there like citizens hundreds years ago. Poetic!

The road isn't that long, but it is well decorated by old style chinese lanterns. I visited during night, there are many small and specialty shops, snacks and hand made souvenirs. It is good for walking and sightseeing during night, not for shopping stuff
