The reservoir has a long, interesting history. There is a memorial to the Japanese engineer who built the dam in 1930. It's worth spending some time reading the background and getting a sense of what he accomplished. We toured the dam and campground area. Tainan Wusanto Reservoir has a history, When you walk along you can see the monument of the Japanese genius who built this great reservoir, The area is very remote and there is no restaurants, shops or any other food outlets, which is why I gave it an Average. Tainan has several really nice lakes near by. They are pretty to walk around and make for a nice trip. They always miss some facilities, like a decent place to have lunch, etc.
