I just want you to be aware of the fact that local travel agencies sell the (500-600 NPR) tickets for the tourist bus - means comfortable and no stops at every bus station on the way. I purchased my ticket on 12.5.2012. with this agency: http://www.lineupnepal.com/

The place is on a hill with great landscape towards pokhara and its lake. We took a boat (with a boatman) and we startbto climbe the mountain. It takes an hour if you are in good shape! (in the middle there is a nice place to sit and drink something)

Pokhara is the best option for tourist. There is so many thing to see and so many place to visit. You can see the whole mountain Annapurna range and beautiful mt . fishtails which is nice. And you see the mt .dhaulagiri.mt. manaslu too which is more than eight thousand meter from sea level.

The sleepy town of Pokhara is approximately 200 km west of Kathmandu. The highway cuts into the sides of the valleys and winds around the emerald Himalayan Rivers. The country side of lush forest, deep valleys, precarious suspension bridges, idyllic villages terraced rice fields will keep you entertained on your journey.We see views of Annapurna range and fishtail.
