I'm SO sad to give this a negative review because I think the mission of Seeing Hands is so valuable. My friends and I went for massages on the recommendation of travel books and blogs and were sorely (pun intended) disappointed. The massage itself was mediocre, but it was the lack of professionalism that made me the most uncomfortable -... More

We are extremely disappointed to hear about your experience at Seeing Hands and apologise wholeheartedly for the service you recieved during your visit. None of the issues you mentioned should have happened - masseurs are supposed to cover clients, not talk with each other during massages unless absolutely necessary and be professional at all times. We will be taking immediate... More

Healing it was, but first suffering with pain to get to the next stage of relaxation! The blind massage therapist are truly amazing being able to exactly pinpoint the square centimenter of pain trigger and then attacking it with rather painful strokes that remove the pain gradually with each stroke until being painless. We paid NPR 1200 for the one-hour... More

It was my first time receiving a massage from a blind person, and I was very satisfied - I had very stiff muscles in my shoulders and the masseur really knew how to open all the "locks" in that area. Also 12 euros for 1 hour's massage is very cheap, especially when the massage is this good. Great for relaxing... More

Sore thighs from trekking? Worry not, step in and receive a really good massage. And your money is also needed, since the blind are not in a very good position in Nepal. We enjoyed our massage, and will go again after next hike! More

My initial intention to visit Seeing Hands Clinic was just to have a simple relaxation and to give some support to the blinds. With no regrets, this was the best massage I ever had, strong and detailed. Had a 90 minutes deep massage by a 22 years old young boy, Ramji, he was great and strong. The massage was not... More

This massage was good but it wasn't amazing. I still enjoyed supporting this type of organization so I don't regret it, but I have had better. It's also not bad for the price, considering how expensive some of the street side massage shops can be. More

Really blind workers make good massage. They feel your body problems better then usual people. 1 hour massage cost 12 euro - cheap for us - but gives these people possibility to survive. More

Strong full body massage -- great for treating muscle pains. As per their (writen) advise : when too strong tell. Though slightly higher priced than typically (1800 rp - approx . $25 for an hour - of which 1/3 is for the blind employee) , still attractive enough even to have our daughter a massage treatment. I love this place, its a British started foundation for Nepalese people who are blind. They teach them massage therapy and the masseuse keeps 35% of each massage profit. It costs around 1200 Rupies, so a little more then other massage places in Nepal. But when you take into account that only equates to about $12 USD its a steal!... More
