The Greyhound Hall of Fame is an interesting stop that is near the Eisenhower center. While the exhibits were interesting the highlight for us was being able to pet the retired greyhounds that have the run of the museum. Great staff and a fun place to stop.

Who knew that Greyhounds ad Greyhound racig could be so interesting? Great museum - free to the public. Well presented, nice people, and definitely informative!

The museum has an impressive display and history about greyhound dogs (this is not about the Greyhound bus!) and dog racing. The day I visited there were 3 Greyhound dogs there and one came running out to greet me - very friendly and lovable! Also the museum is free although donations are appreciated.

We sidetripped stopped after seeing the billboards advertising the location. We loved on the furr babies that are retired racers there. Very interesting and informative museum. Kept kids interest for about 30 minutes. lots of historical data and race information can be found here

The museum is right across the street from the Eisenhower Museum. I did not even realized it was there the previous year when I visited the Eisenhower Museum. It does not look very big from outside. We dropped in because it was just across the street from our destination, but were quite surprised at how extensive the museum really is.... More

Pleasant surprise in Abilene. Well done museum with history of the Greyhound breed as well as Greyhound racing. Love that two retired Greyhound dogs greet you at the door. Museum is clean, well designed, informative and a nice place to visit. The museum does not charge admission but does accept donations. It is not a huge facility so it doesn't... More

Kind of interesting. Took an 8 year old there. She stayed mostly interested. There was a greyhound there that she could pet ad she loved that. How much you like it kind of depends on your feelings about racing greyhounds.

Nice place for viewing what greyhounds have been through in the past years. Not hard to find, and worth the visit if for nothing more than to pet the puppies (dogs) and relieve stress of travel, lower blood pressure, etc.

We saw a sign off of I-70 on our way across country and it had a picture of a couple of greyhounds that invited us to pet them. My teens are dog crazy and it was lunch time, so we ventured into the town and when we found the museum, I was honestly amazed. It is very, very well done,... More
