We used the local family-run company (Tsewang and Ughen Nidup of Bhutan-Expeditions.com). Highly recommend. They made our cultural, spiritual and trekking experiences very unique and rewarding -- way beyond what can be articulated here. In summary, the kindness, warm welcome and attention to detail given to us by this family during every moment of our time in Bhutan (husband, wife,... More

We spent 13 days traveling through Bhutan with Bhutan Expeditions. Tsewang provided us with a wonderful cultural experience. This was a truly memorable trip. Bhutan is inviting, friendly and beautiful. Don't miss the festivals- they are a spectacle to behold! Tsewang and his family made us feel that we were a part of their family. Ugyen's cooking was wonderful and... More

This is the best way to see Bhutan--with someone who knows the country and is proud of it! Tsewang and his wife provide each of their visitors with a lovely suited room, excellent meals, fun conversations both with Tsewang and with other guests, a chance to see a "working farm" (with a chance to milk a cow if you have... I just came back from a long trip to Bhutan (23 days) and I'm still savouring the after-taste of my stay there. Tsewang organised the trip perfectly, from finding me a lama with whom to learn about Buddhism and meditation, to organising guided tours of the wonderful Dzongs (fortresses) and temples in Western and Central Bhutan, to making me get... We visited Bhutan on September 2011. It was a 4nights 5 days couple tour. Reached Paro by Druk air, a really professional air service. Too good comfortable seats with perfect timing and hospitality. Bhutan was looking like a canvas from up air. it is really a big surprise for all the passengers that how a pilot can manage a bus... More

I just went to Bhutan (April 8th to 18th 2011) and traveled the country with "Bhutan Expeditions". We started in Paro and traveled eastward. We visited Tigers Nest, Thimphu, Punaka, Wangdue, Tongsa, Mongar, Trashigang, and left for India at Samdrup Jongkar. The price of the tour was US$ 200 a day, but that included transport, food, entrance fees, and lodging.... More

Our Bhutan Expeditions - arranged by our guide Tsewang Nidup - will remain as one of the most memorable journeys we have made. We were very lucky to have Tsewang with us who made sure that we are well taken care from beginning to the end. Our happiness, it seems, was paramount to him. We had requested to experience 'real'...
