Best view of the city I have yet to experience, very worth the visit! One of the better attractions for Kampala tourists.

The best view of the city can be found atop the tower. Be warned that women are expected to be covered and in a long skirt and scarf and if you lack them you can borrow them...bring your own!

The price (10.000) is fair, and the visit was fine. The tour up the minaret is great and you can see most of Kampala from there.

It was a very interesting visit and the mosque is huge! It was very pretty inside, plenty attention to detail and we were able to climb the tower to see Kampala from above. If you are a woman, the guides will cover you head to toe with clothing so that only your face in on show...

From the high Minaret you have a great view of the city! My first visit to a mosque, and the guide was very eager to explain everything.

Great views from the top of the minaret. The mosque itself is pretty average, but the views make it worth the effort. Entrance is free.

If you only have a couple of hours to spend in Kampala, and a sense of humour, you should grant this mosque a visit. It really is very beautifully made, and the history is just hilarious. You get to climb one of the towers and enjoy what is probably the best viewpoint of Kampala! Scarves and hijabs are available for... More

Grand interiors and brass chandeliers. Clean carpets and good space in women's section. Adequate parking space and great location on hill overlooking Kampala.

Beutiful Archtecture. Motorist driving can see the majestic building up on the hill. The Gaddafi National Mosque is the biggest mosque in Africa. I saw it being built and I prayed Juumah there when ever I am in Kampala.
