worth the car trip from Khartoum....hike the mountain preferably at sunrise and enjoy the magnificent view of the Nile and from the valley with his pyramids .....advice is to arrive day before and stay at the boutique hotel nearby ..the Nubian house ...just few hundred meters from the temple...it's a wonderful place in itself

jebel barkal is stunning- the simplicity and power of the mountain flanked by the ancient pyramids makes it a truly beautiful, awe-inspiring place
