In addition, we organize cultural and community-based tours within Rwanda and other countries. In the year 2009, 2010 and 2011; 88.6% revenues went to local communities as direct benefits. Besides that, 12 local guides were trained and employed by the company on short and long term contracts; schools, dispensaries, child-headed homes, widows of genocide, reformed perpetrators of genocides also benefited.Through Community-based tours; women empowerment has been achieved and also encouraged innovations, creativity and entrepreneurship amongst the local community groups receiving tourists. Because of incomes generated from tourism in all community-based tourism activities, this reduced conflicts within many homes in villages where we operate. Our tours support conservation as our motto says, "conserve through eco-tourism" The Dream of the company is to see majority of Rwandans benefit from tourism through employment, capacity building and empowering local communities to improve their livelihood, alleviate poverty and strengthen unity among Rwandans. At the same time, we strive to build strong lasting relationships with all our clients and partners. We allocate over 50% of the company profits for community development. « less

1. Up-close experience with the only Mountain Gorillas in the world (in the Virunga Mountains) is an absolutely AMAZING experience! 2. I strongly encourage visiting in Rwanda. The drive from Kigali airport is only about three hours on an excellent paved highway. Seeing the democratic, economic and social recovery in Rwanda since the genocide is so up-lifting. Take time to... More

We recently undertook a four day tour with Africa Adventure Safaris travelling Northern Rwanda especially to see the gorillas. Everything about this transaction worked out perfectly. William, our driver/ guide was most friendly, spoke good English, had a wide network of contacts and was able to get us to all the places that we wished to see. Nothing was too... More

I booked with Wildlife Tours Rwanda and had 5 days with my son for my 50th birthday. We enjoyed the Gorilla's, Golden Monkeys, city tours and villages for a truly amazing experience of this wonderful country. David experience and knowledge and compassion for the people with everything thing he does is very commendable. I would recommended Wildlife Tours Rwanda to... More

Our group of 4 spent 3 days with Davidson Mugisha, a personable man with a love of his country and a knowledgeable guide with excellent English. We met at Kigali Airport and checked into a Kigali hotel (very satisfied with all the hotels, the food, and service we received at all venues) for first night. Next day spent in town... More

I traveled with three friends to Rwanda for four days. We had a tight budget and not a lot of time. Wildlife Tours set us up on a private tour and managed to fit in everything we wanted to do, within our budget and somehow made it feel like nothing was rushed. Our tour was all inclusive which made the... More

We had an amazing time on our tour. We had a private 5 day tour through Rwanda, visiting the gorillas on 2 days, the golden monkeys on one day, one overnight at lake kivu, a day tour around Kigali and some other highlights along the way. Our guide was always professional - we had been on other tours I kenya... More

We selected Wildlife Tours Rwanda because we wanted our tourist dollars to benefit the wildlife and people of those countries. What we got was an extraordinary, authentic journey through Rwanda and Tanzania with experiences and memories so enriching, we consider them part of a college education for our 15 and 16 year old sons. There is simply no equation to... More

Wildlife Tours provided a fantastic little one-day safari to Akagera National Park. The park is small but beautiful, and David, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommended.
