I wanted a place to relax. I don't want any disturbance, except from the baboons and elephant noise. I wanted to lay flat in a pool of natural warm spring. I got all these plus more at Yankari National Park. I spent a week. Had baboons (attack) entered my room once and broke my bottle of wine (very painful but... More

I remembered being warned not toe feed the bamboos and also not swimming with ring in one's finger. My question for anyone who has been there recently: Do they still have Lions? Thanks. It is a beautiful game preserve with the possibility to stay overnight. It has lots of wild life in the area, and you can take the road car trip around the preserve to see all the animals and the nature as well. Personally, my favorites were the monkeys that were everywhere around the houses and huts. Even saw a mother... More

Our family trip to the Yankari Game Resort (December 27-29, 2011) was a decent getaway from Lagos. The closest and preferred airports from which to travel to Yankari are the Jos and Gombe airports. Gombe airport is 1 hour 40 minutes to Yankari. Our 8AM flight from Lagos local airport on Associated Airlines was cancelled because of visibility problems due... More

Going from previous reviews and what I had heard about accomodation in the Yankari, I must say that things have greatly improved. The chalets have been recently renovated, tastefully furnished and very comfortable with stndard toilet facilities. The only missing thing in the rooms are television sets which will also be provided soon, though with the wikki warm spring and... More
