Worst service ever and the food really isn't as great as you would think. Don't know why people still go there.

The only thing I can say is Get There. You will have missed a excellent pub if you don't. Unique in every way.

My second time at this highly popular and funny decorated place. The service is fast and the main course good, but not spectacular. The don Pedro (?) dessert, a sort of slush was delicious. We found out that Joe has sold the place and hope the new owner keeps up the good work.

we fancied some game for our last meal in Namibia and the guesthouse recommended Joe's. We ate dinner at 8pm and I noticed lots of people were finishing. We still waited some time to be served but it was nothing terrible and the staff were delightful. We had a Namib Bush fire which consisted of Oryx, Springbok and Kudu. All... More

Joe's made me feel like a "tourist" in my own country. They have unimaginable kinds of food such as ostrich and crocodile. My foreign colleagues enjoyed the crocodile but I enjoyed the ostrich (at least it sounded more like chicken to me so I thought I would rather try something normally eatable!). I especially enjoyed the atmosphere and the creativity... More

Very fun (and touristy) place with so much to look at. The food was really great--I had zebra, kudu, crocodile and ostrich! Will definitely return. The only reason I didn't give a 5 was because the servicer wasn't very friendly or helpful.

It's a place that everyone talks about and for good reason. The atmosphere is brilliant, especially at night. The food is usually excellent, but be prepared to wait. That applies to drinks too. Get your waitron to bring a bottle of wine, or an ice bucket of beers and the wait for the food won't be so onerous. There's no... More

We just had drinks but the menu looked fun. Lots of game choices. They messed up the drink order and brought 3 girls 13 and under drinks with run. Second set ordered specifically "virgin" came back with alcohol again. Maybe just not tuned into kids. But the decor is fantastic. would definitely go back and eat there next time. Check... More

We stopped by one evening. We had heard people mention it. We thought it was a little beer place. Boy, were we surprised! It is a very large restaurant with a few bars. The areas are divided so you can dine inside or out and in different venues. I had a selection of meats common in Namibia and wanted to... More
