Popped in as part of a group of 30 for an end-of-conference dinner and it was perfect location! Large area of seating interspersed with bars and water features, beautifully stylised with old, weird and wonderful curios hanging from the wall. Anything from a rusted pre-war pushbike to the skull and horns of some local wildlife; all contributing to a laid-back... More

Game meat!!!! Great food, excellent staff, incredible surroundings, original decoration, if you're a meat lover, this is a must have experience when in Namibia. Really busy place, recommend calling ahead. Not appropriate for babies.

We loved the food in particular the game meat. The ambience of the place is also great although the service can be a little better it felt like the staff was too busy which they may have been. The place nonetheless delivers as a hotspot in Windhoek.

A nice place to have a chill beer under the shade regardless the weather. You will be blown away with all the tools from long long time ago.

Splendid is all I really need to say. Décor extremely unusual but interesting. Food excellent, I had the Eisbein, although huge( they did have the ladies version that night), it was so soft and the crackling was fantastic. Drinks were good too. Don't leave Windhoek without visiting, even if it is to look at the décor ( not recommended if... More

Joe's is such an institution in Windhoek. Its a quirky place with lots of interesting decor. Make sure you book as the place is often full. Make no mistake, this is not a cheap exercise but overall it is worth it. The food is good and the beers always cold. Make sure you try the Eishbein, it is magnificent!

I am in Windhoek for a couple of months on business, and my first intro to restaurants in the city was Joe's - on recommendation of just about everyone who heard that I was coming here. The restaurant has a great vibe, with a welcoming chatter of people all around (something that can be appreciated when traveling alone). Seeing that... More
