The setting of the place is what will strike you first of all. As you settle at your table and start ordering you will be pleased to notice that maintaining a normal voice tone is possible as the place is not loud in spite of the presence of many and a packed full place. The food and drinks are all... More

We loved Joe's. Fun atmosphere, friendly service. Great game (springbok kebobs and malva pudding were fantastic!) and great dessert. A must visit if staying in Windhoek.

This is one address where any local or traveller will be able to meet up with you. Unquestionably Namibian, with mouthwatering BBQ meat dishes, wonderfully rustic and out-doors type setting, and plenty of locally brewed beer. As god as it gets in a city, with the feeling of being out of the city. One of those "Do-not-miss" places. Not really... More

Exceptional location and Staff friendly but the food was by far the worst we had in whole Namibia and not worth the price. Oryx Jägerschnitzel (breaded) was cold and tough as leather, Spätzle tasteless with some instant sauce. Beef cheese burger was also cold (cheese didn't melt) and tasted very strange.

Ex-pats and tourists abound at this beer garden and restaurant. Good food, good service (from trainee Linus), and the kitschy decor and atmosphere you expect for such a place. Entrees about $15 USD. The ibex was excellent.

Amazing and laid back atmosphere. Great place to hangout with friends as well as family. The cuisine is interesting and offers various delicious meals. Would recommend it anytime. A must stop when in Windhoek.

Joe's Beerhouse is a very nice and authentic restaurant where you can get the best game. I would really recommend the Bushman Sossatie as it features 5 different kinds of game (Zebra, Kudu, Crocodile, Oryx and Ostrich). The waiters are quite nice but they don't always get your orders right (especially when you're in a large group). One tip when... More

Yes this is the place to be in Windhoek, everyone is there. When travelling around for a week in Nambia everyone said we had to go here. Yes, it's a great relaxed place with a uniqute environment making a a great statement for Namibian "chabby chic" - lots of fun. Good service, the smoked kudu as appetizer was great but... More

Good food but the worst service! Waiting 5 min to be seated, 15 to get the menu, 20 to order and so on is not what you expect from a place like this. If you order an assorted plate with oryx, springbok and kudu meat, it would be great if the lady serving it tells you which is which. Moreover,... More
