We arrived here 1.5 hours before the advertised 1.30pm tour. At the gate we were told we were late! and the tour was leaving and no other tour was available. When we pointed out the time, he said after speaking with the reception by radio, that basically too bad, they are leaving now. We were 4 very unhappy tourists and... More

Stayed here as an add on to a Namibian Safari and would not have missed it for the world. Fantastic room with open sides during the day so that we could welcome the warthogs and feed the birds (bird food supplied in room) The room was comfortable and very spacious, well maintained and clean. The social centre was well planned... More

What a wonderful opportunity for us; we learnt so much; the knowledge of the ranger was fantastic; the information that was shared with us and the hands on experience was out of this world. I would recommend it to everyone who has a keen interest in preserving the African wildlife to pay AfriCat a visit; they really are doing fantastic... More

We took a group of 10 clients to Africat and all our expectations were exceeded. The kitchen manager went out of his way to accommodate our special requirements and all the staff were of the friendliest and efficient that we came across whilst in Namibia. Our guide for three of our guided tours was of the best we experienced. The... More

Great rooms. Large picture window over grassland with warthogs and antelopes. comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Fantastic barn as centre piece for the guests. Nice food, not overly special but nice. GREAT STAFF!! Our guide was fantastic, funny, worked hard, took us out longer than contracted for. Wouldn't bother with a night drive again, really only saw the spring hares which... More

Our day visit began at the Plains Camp area, which is a very upscale lodge, swimming pool, restaurant, and shop. It was a bright, beautifully designed building---with a refreshing patio and great views---that made me wish I could have stayed here an extra day or two. Our AfriCat guide, Peter, was very personable and informative. Heading out in an open... More

Wonderful work done by the Africat Foundation, but our visit was spoiled by the rude, crass, arrogant guide.

We had a very interesting day visit in the Cheetah and wild cats rehabilitation center. We learnt a lot about wild cats and their habits and what Africat foundation is doing for helping them and Namibiam population. It's a bit expensive but what you get in return is valuable of it. The staff is very kind and always ready to... More

We were not staying at Okonjima Lodge so were not allowed to do the leopard tracking. Instead we did the day visit which was very, very expensive for what it was. We enjoyed seeing the Cheetahs but with hindsight I think we would have given it a miss.

We are just into our second day here and thoroughly enjoying it. The guide, Previous, is very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly and already we have walked to see Cheetah, one with her cub and viewed a Leopard in the wild with two babies, just two months old as well as all the usual grassland animals and birds. The accommodation... More
