We went on the Africat day visit, which was very informative and we were able to see the cheetahs that were in the process of being rehabiliated.. we did really enjoy the experience, but we wanted to see more! We came back the next day and did another day drive but this time in the wider reserve area. Our guides... More

Stayed at Plains Camp for one night en route from Windhoek to Etosha. The staff, accommodation and food were all excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and wish that Etosha National Park staff were as friendly and professional.

These are beautiful animals being rehabilitated on this property. There is also a Vulture Cafe, which helps feed the vultures, which are becoming extinct.

We arrived here 1.5 hours before the advertised 1.30pm tour. At the gate we were told we were late! and the tour was leaving and no other tour was available. When we pointed out the time, he said after speaking with the reception by radio, that basically too bad, they are leaving now. We were 4 very unhappy tourists and... More

Stayed here as an add on to a Namibian Safari and would not have missed it for the world. Fantastic room with open sides during the day so that we could welcome the warthogs and feed the birds (bird food supplied in room) The room was comfortable and very spacious, well maintained and clean. The social centre was well planned... More

What a wonderful opportunity for us; we learnt so much; the knowledge of the ranger was fantastic; the information that was shared with us and the hands on experience was out of this world. I would recommend it to everyone who has a keen interest in preserving the African wildlife to pay AfriCat a visit; they really are doing fantastic... More

We took a group of 10 clients to Africat and all our expectations were exceeded. The kitchen manager went out of his way to accommodate our special requirements and all the staff were of the friendliest and efficient that we came across whilst in Namibia. Our guide for three of our guided tours was of the best we experienced. The... More

Our day visit began at the Plains Camp area, which is a very upscale lodge, swimming pool, restaurant, and shop. It was a bright, beautifully designed building---with a refreshing patio and great views---that made me wish I could have stayed here an extra day or two. Our AfriCat guide, Peter, was very personable and informative. Heading out in an open... More

Wonderful work done by the Africat Foundation, but our visit was spoiled by the rude, crass, arrogant guide.
