In the same room some objects retrieved from the shipwreck ( st Geran ) was also displayed. The sight of the stamps with the... More

We came for the famous two stamps, which we saw thanks to the the security staff's kind advice, as normally they highlight the very professional copies (to spare the originals from fading too soon). You can get headsets for a self guided tour, but if you can read in dim light the explanations in English and French on the maps... More

Held my attention for a couple of hours. Maps, ships and stamps basically but given I'm not massively interested in these I did find it quite fascinating!

My travelling companion really wanted to see the Blue Penny Stamp. We were so disappointed when we got there as it is only on show very briefly a few times a day. When she explained how far we had travelled to see the stamp they kindly gave us a private very brief viewing. We were really thankful. The rest of... More

The museum is really very small. I'm not too fussed about stamps but it was interesting to see some original blue penny's in the "dark room", where even the description of what you can hardly see (some stamps) is kept so dark that reading the text is difficult. The historical section with maps, nautical instruments and photos depicting old and... More

Very interesting. It tells you a lot about the history of the island. And of course you can see one of the last 4 Blue Penny stamps.
