We took a boat from grand baie here. We wandered around the shops before heading off to the bazaar. Nice shops lots of recognizable international and designer brands with high price tags. The craft market is nice and be prepared to bargain as prices are ridiculously inflated. We stopped for rotis, Italian coffee and gelato all very delicious! There is... More

ANother tourist shopping place, a plus because of the island setting- the waterfront and the hills in the background. Shopping experience is average but the pace has a nice chilled out feel to it. You may disovered a few things like we discovered unique "sugarcane juice + beer" Lunch by the waterfront was a very pleasant experience. Shopping tip :... More

Visiting Port Louis the capital of Mauritius/Maurice for the first time, expecting multiculture and color from the Portuguese , the Dutch , the French , and the British. Also the island of Mauritius was the only home of the Dodo bird. AIR MAURITIUS. About six hour flight fom Kuala Lumpur, arriving in airport in the afternoon time was just a... More

Caudan is one the first 'must visit' spot in Mauritius. It has a variety of food from the food court and restaurant. A Business Hotel and a superb view of the harbour. Several Indian movie makers have chosen Caudan for their film scenes including the blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Yes, its a mall,by the seaside port. Thats all. Has a casino among others, with a viking head on the fore mast of a ship carved out front. The view of the Port with the anchored ships is soothing.

Yeah...Its a shopping Mall in the center of Port Louis. Didn't cut the ice with us though. I guess as a part of every package tour you are supposed to waste some time here, but if I had known before I would prefer not taking this package in my tour. Reasons are that this is a pretty average place with... More

There are lots of shops to shop around for nearly everything.. lots of restaurants with good food and good service. There is a cinema... and a museum... and, just outside the museum, you can have the best freshly squeezed sugar cane juice at Cauden. You get a good view of the port. Plus, the mall is clean.

This waterfront has nice eateiers and restaurants facing the port. Lots of stuff to buy including souveniers. If you go to Mauritius , you have to go to Cauden. While at Cauden you can also have a glass of freshly squeezed sugar cane juice just outside the Blue Penny museum.
