We were expecting a pristine island of natural beauty. After a glorious passage by catamaran across the stunningly turquoise lagoon with a boat full of delightful Mauritians out for a weekend chill, the visit to the island was a reminder to suspend one's expectations. The Ile may have once been paradise but has been taken over by souvenir vendors, restaurants... More

It's a cliché, but this is a "must do". Perfect beach for lazing around and enjoying the crystal clear water. Great spot for young children with plenty of shallow water. Couples can venture further if they want to get away from the kids. There are a few touts selling various water sports activities. They aren't pushy but if you are... More

We went on a catarmaran to ile aux cerfs, we had a good day out and spent 2 hours on the island. The beaches were very nice and the lagoon was crystal blue. There is a lot of activities to do on the beach, such as water sports and parasailing. Worth the visit.

Yes the island is getting spoiled by frequent tourists but take 20 mins to walk left away from the bars/restaurant along side the golf course thru a leafy glade and you will be alone on an unspoilt beach pretending you owned it all!

Went on a trip by speedboat from our hotel, beach no better than where we were staying, sunbeds and drinks were extortionate, nice to see but stay on the boat, overcrowded with tourists, certainly nothing special.

This was the 3rd time we have visited Ile Aux Cerfs and unfortunately it is probably the last. The first time we went to the island is was like arriving in paradise, it was raw and full of natural beauty. The island was quite and beautiful, the beaches pure white and the sea sparkling blue. Yesterday we arrived to the... More

Visited Anahita Resort for a week in Oct 2014 and played 3 rounds on Ile aux Cerfs. Very tight technical course that really makes you think your way round the course. Facilities including changing rooms, shop driving range and course were all top class. Beautiful scenery as you go round the course and pace of play never too pushy. Top... More
