Fantastic beaches that you can have almost to yourself. Great for snorkelling although we didn't manage to see any fish while we were there.

The beach was lovely and warm, the powder sand felt wonderful between my toes. Souvenirs are expensive and you can get the exact same items elsewhere on the main island, you have been warned.

Even though the beaches in the Northern part of the island are more famous, there are gorgeous places and facilities on the east coast of the island also

wow can only be described as paradise, clear blue sea, no wind, powdery white sand, very friendly people, restaurant, bar small market (prices very cheap) lots of water sports. a must if visiting Mauritius, just lazy around for the day. Sun beds are charged extra but not too badly priced, we went twice as it was so lovley.

Make sure you take some money, with a small market, restaurant and adventure playground there's actually quite a lot to do. Of course not forgetting the water sports!!!

We spent two hours on the island as part of a full day excursion that also took in boat trips, lunch and a waterfall. The island itself is pleasant enough, but too 'commercial' for us, it's certainly not an unspoilt paradise and the prices for drinks in the bar were crazy (£15 for two beers).

Dropped off as part of a catamaran trip for 2 hours. Nice island but once you're there you're at the mercy of the locals an their prices. To be quite frank the beach we had for our entire stay had just as nice views, the water was just as blue and the major plus factor was it was uncrowded and... More

We were lucky enough to stay at the tropical attitude hotel in trou du douce which provides a free boat service to this wonderful island. The lagoon area is ideal for young children and for shell hunting and just a little further round the corner is the ocean. We did have to be careful when going in to swim to... More

Its a waste of time, our cruise there for far more interesting and exciting. A money making island. 700 rupee's to sit on a chair per person and we where only there for an hour.
