Once this island was lovely and quiet and basked in solitude. Now it is flooded with locals and tourists alike. There are a few quite expensive beach restaurants, and the once bulging picnic baskets brought by locals are banned. It is still worth visiting, and it would be unfair to strip the island of its 5-star rating!!

The catamaran dropped us off and we got a boat to this gorgeous beach . We only spent a couple of hours here so didnt really explore (just soaked up the sun and swam. Find a quiet area and enjoy the clear sea it's wonderful. It does get quite busy but the beach is vast so you'll always find your... More

A nice day out, with parasailing, undersea walk, banana boat ride, waterfall visit! Especially liked the banana boat ride! Totally recommended. Great for couples.

Our stay at Mauritius in the preceding 4 days had been very average. We'd visited Port Louis (including Central Market), Cauden Waterfront, the Botanic Gardens, Casela but struggled to find something that felt like we hadn't already "been there, done that" many times before. Ile Aux Cerfs was the turning point. We took a private rental of a boat out... More

This is one gem of an island and to reach there you have to get on a speedboat. During our arrival, the sea was rough and there was rain too, with this combo the ride to the island was a crazy and scary one but once we reached everything was forgotten. First thing you notice is that its quite popular... More

We traveled from Flic en Flac this morning to Ile aux Cerfs. The beaches are the best we have seen in Mauritius so far. The sand is a beautiful sugar white and the water is very clear. After reading reviews about the restaurant prices, we decided to stop by Woolworths and load up on water, chips and sandwiches for a... More

We booked our trip on the beach at hotel Bougainville. Speedboat ride to Ile aux Cerfs. We went to see a waterfall, some bats and some monkeys. Then to the beach. Little bit of snorkeling, got some photos of the fish. Back into the speedboat and off for lunch. Marlin steak chicken and finished off with a couple of beers... More

Its an island, off the island of mauritius. :) It has fun water sports for enthusiasts, nice secluded spots for the romantic and the picnickers, lots of souvenir for the tourists to pick from (they accept only mauritian rupees or euros). Altogether a nice place to quietly explore if you have a day at hand.
