After a lot of searching finally decided to go bojo beach. Was around 30 kms from Accra on Accra-Tema motorway. They charge 10cdi for a ferry boat that takes you to the actual beach. Outside food is not allowed . The beach is paradise in terms of views and scenery as it is covered by water on both the side.... More

The beach was nice - it was grey and windy when we visited but we still enjoyed hanging out for the day and swimming. It's a bit far from town - you might want to plan on arranging for a taxi to pick you up at a certain time since it's quite a walk to the road. You pay a... More

Bojo is such a good place to escape the city! You take a little boat over a river to a large sand bar of pretty decent sand. There's a little restaurant on the mini island that serves simple meals like chicken & rice... burgers... fish and pizza etc. They make a big show of checking you're not taking your own... More

The beach is as clean as any around Accra, being on a little peninsula across the bay adds to the feeling of security, and the amenities are acceptable (even if food delivery is terribly slow, who can care when you're hanging at the beach?).

Fun place, close to Accra - take a little boat 4 minutes to the beach side, enjoy (poor) food and drink in the shade at seaside. They should NOT play loud music with horrible speakers though - since the waves supply the gentle sounds - but of course, lots of people would complain !

Clean beach, food and drinks available, opportunity to see local folks going on fishing expedition. You can play football (soccer) on the sandy beach, volley ball etc. You cross a lagoon before with a canoe before you get to the beach!

Its a very nice beack to sit, relax and much something. Also its Family friendly beach where you can go with your kids and have some quality time playing around the beach. The uniqe thing about the beach is that you can reach the beach only after a short trip in the boat. Its a good feeling to travel in... More

You'll always find remnants of plastic bags floating in the surf anywhere in Ghana. and you have to pay to get onto the beach

The closest clean and private beach to Accra and easily accessible by car. There is a gate fee, but the place has pretty good value. The beach is on a sandbar accessed by a ferry, so it's a bit exposed to the sun. The waves are fairly rough, but at low tide everyone can enjoy it. The menu varies, but... More
