This cathedral is on the main street of Asmara and well worth a visit. It is open to the public on most days and if you speak to the caretaker you may be able to climb the tower for a great view over the city.

The Cathedral is truly an inspirational structure in downtown Asmara. Don't forget to peek behind the altar in front to see the hidden Italian fresco. It is amazing.

A delightful piece of early 20th century Italian colonial architecture with the high roof and simple, classical interior. A peaceful, spiritual oasis in the heart of the pulsing with humanity Harnet Avenue. The landmark campanile behind is very impressive too.

The Cathedral of Asmara is a beautiful building in the busiest spot of the city, Kamashtato St., Unfortunately there's a bus station in front of the Cathedral and that makes it lose its Holiness.

Eritrea is not a nice place to be in present times. People are loving and beautiful but environment due to extra cautious government officials create a bade taste. In this setting beautiful cathedral building stands like a majestic tower. Its feeling is unique. If you stand on th eopposite side of the road its grandeaur is supreme.Miss you Asmara.
