Have been to the fall thrice.. and every time it literally blows you away. While there, there are some great activities too. I would highly recommend white water rafting in late Aug-Sep. More

A visit to the falls is absolutely a must for anyone that can make the trip. After having seen the falls dozens of times on tv or in pictures, it more than lived up to my expectations. There are nicely paved walkways to walk to the several scenic viewpoints along the falls, in total give yourself about 2-3 hours to... More

The Victoria Falls have been hyped so much that we were afraid we would be disappointed. But, they were impressive, especially since their volume was ten times normal due to heavy rains in Angola this year. We discovered that if you go in the midday hours (12-2:30 pm), you are more likely to see rainbows. And we did from various... More

It sounds ridiculous, they are only waterfalls. I have traveled the world including have been to our own Niagara Falls multiple times. As my mother-in-law said to me as we stood in awe of the beauty before us, "They make Niagara look like a faucet." I can not put into words how incredible the falls are in person. Pictures won't... What an experience, the river is the second highest it's been in years so the volume of water coming down the falls is insane! We got soaked and I mean soaked like being in a torrential downpour so even with our waterproofs we were still dripping. Only negative is that the most dangerous point of the falls which is called... We saw the falls from both sides and the Zambian side was superior in early May - but the situation reverses by early June - in anycase a view from both sides is great. Only hassle is the border crossing - allow 45mins to migrate into Zimbabwee and about 30mins to migrate to Zambia Park costs $20USD on Zambian side... More
