Doon Estate has been hit too by the harsh economic climate in Zimbabwe, but like all institutions, they soldier on. I definitely recommend Valdemeers Coffee shop for their superb teas, coffees, cakes and homemade croissants! A must visit if u in the area. Curios galore in the estate, but often pricey in my opinion.

A number of small shops dotted around the estate. Pleasant to wander around and browse. The star attraction for me was the sculpture park in the back area. A good number of artists displaying the wares and actively creating new material. All of them were eager to discuss and explain their works. Most interesting and certainly worth supporting

Doon estate has lots of speciality shops for arts crafts and fancy home made foods etc. Also some furniture and other homeware all spread around a number of buildings once used to recruit Zimbabeans to work in the mines in South African. There is a monthly market on a Saturday when lots more stalls pop up.

I loved the quaint and beautiful shops with the exceptional handicraft and exotic gifts. Everything I bought was perfect, but not inexpensive. After shopping we went to the cafeteria/restaurant. I think they had the best coffee selection ever. The coffee, the chocolate drink and the croissant were absolutely perfect. I loved the retro romantic style of the cafeteria. I really... More

My second visit to this gathering of quirky craft shops in Msasa on the outskirts of Harare proved just as fruitful and interesting as my first. Its an intriguing collection of small , almost boutique little shops selling a wide range of gifts and novelties aimed primarily at the tourist market but catering for locals too. Its a little off... My eyes were delightfully overwhelmed with all the particulars on sale. The shops stock a wide variety of souvenir items and my friends bought beautiful african print skirts although most things are expensive. They have great restaurants which one might need to make a reservation prior to visiting, my friends and I didn't have one but the waiters found chairs... More

Nice collection of shops with various handmade items at reasonable prices. It really makes for a pleasant shopping experience. Some things you can find elsewhere, but other items were unique. The prices are pretty good. I saw some of the same things sold by street vendors for a little less. But these shops have a much greater variety and it... More

It's a bit out of the way from most places tourists stay, but worth the trip if you like to shop. It's a large, pleasant courtyard with about 12 different shops. There is no added VAT in Zim and prices are very reasonable. You can get everything from T-shirts and touristy items to antiques. I especially liked the Dendera Gallery... More

This was very quaint, peaceful shopping center. Lots of shops…prices are not negotiable as other flea market type of shops, but few were willing to bargain a little. Still I enjoyed this place very much! Lots of different and unique gift shops. Nice cafe..and playground for children too. I would recommend a visit!
