Go and stay at the National Parks Lodges. You need a sense of humor to get along with the furnishings which can be quite odd. Not the best place to go with family the place has been perverted drunkards , women of the night with other peoples husbands or wife hand at this place at week ends . terrible place for sane parents or normal people

There are many entrances to the Lake... we picked one that was quite peaceful with only one shop. The weather was beautiful and the lake was amazing. It's only a short drive from Harare (less than 1 hour) it's great for a half day trip.
