There is only a handful of art displayed in the gallery but it is centrally located, $1, and you do get to see some lovely art. They also have a great gift shop (which supports local artists) and a cute cafe with outdoor subculture garden. Well worth stopping by while in town.

Curated Zimbabwean art and the best place to get some craft mementos. Centrally located in the cbd with easy parking. Gives a good feel of Zimbabwean art

Definitely worth stopping through when you are in Harare. It only costs a dollar, and while it isn't very big, it will give you a good sampling of Zimbabwean art as well as art from Africa and beyond. There is also a sculpture garden in the back where you can relax.

It seems to be difficult to fill this enormous display area. It's a typical late 1950s building with a large mosaic on the outside. An exhibition of some very good portraits of prominent Zimbabweans was on display while we were there but we still felt like tiny peas in a small pod. Some of the artists associated with the adjacent... More

At a $1 it was still not worth a stop. They are doing renovations and perhaps when that is finished with it will be a good place to visit. The only galleries open contained a photo series on Churches in Goa (very beautiful) and a student exhibit. Both were actually very good but I was hoping that the National Gallery... More

A dollar USD to enter and be escorted into another world! This place was a real treat: incredible artwork and sculpture garden, cosy cafe with good cake and conversation, and a really nice gift shop.

I found this spot in a travel book. I should have known when it said the entrance fee is $1.00 that that was indicative of what I would find. All of the paintings on the walls were from 2013. When I paid, they told me that there was a sculpture garden that I should check out. I went outside and... More
