We loved watching the sunset on the Zambezi River on this cruise. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. They provided all we could drink along with several appetizers on the trip. Some were not my favorite, but it was a good assortment. We had talked to other who saw elephants on this trip, but we did not. What we... More

To see the river at its best do try an evening or dining cruise, we tried the dining cruise and the boat was about a quarter full. Food was good not excellent but more than adequate, the sunset was to die for and managed to get a few cracking photos.

If you have not yet been on safari, this cruise will be interesting for the small amount of wildlife you will see--hippos, crocs, and maybe an elephant. If you have been on safari, it may be a bit disappointing. We did enjoy the sunset and seeing the river close up (our other experience was a helicopter ride). We did the... More

On our trip to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, we cruised down the Zambezi during sunset. It was amazing. We saw hippos, birds AND 4 elephants cross pushing a baby in the middle. Like submarines with their trunks up. It was a breathtaking site!

It is peaceful even though the river has many boats at sunset. We did see a few hippos and birds. The finger food was very ordinary and the beverages also not that great but for $50 per head it is worth it.

Likes - wild open river, full of what should be there, Hippo's, fish and croc's! Dis-likes - the lack of respect for the greatest waterway in Africa, the source of life!

On the 4th of Aug 2012, my wife and I joined a group of adventurers to kayak the Zambesi River in Zimbawe. We kayak pretty regularly in Perth, Western Australia and have kayaked in Prince William Sound in Alaska, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, in Sabah/Sarawak etc. Since we were at Victoria Falls, we decided to sign up for kayaking... We went with Kavinga Safaris who are based in Harare to a tented camp in Mana Pools Nature Reserve on the edge of the Zambezi where we stayed 6 nights in great comfort . We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility, the great open space, the selection of wild animals and the walks through the bush with a professional guide carrying a... More
