I remember visiting Tamerza canyon with my parents when I was younger and being amazed at the beauty of the untouched nature. A bit out of the way but a must do.

Waterfall in mountain oasis Chebika at border of Sahara, Tunisia is such a another day in paradise again. You will walk for a few minutes from the main road where 4 WDs parked. There are some souvenir shops, restaurants here.I have a delicious palm juice at one souvenir shop where we shopped. The surrounding around me here is so beautiful. I... More

This was so beautiful. We walked up the mountain and through the canyon and around all the palm trees. The waterfalls are beautiful. Wear some good shoes and bring water. It is a good hike. But well worth the views you will see. It's a must di while you are in Tunisia.

We took the train through the canyon - what a treat! The whole ride was spectacular - it was quite an experience we'll never forget.

The Tamerza Canyon is an easy day trip from Tozeur, it is also included on most 2 day desert safari packages. It is north of the town, across the Chott el Gharsa and up into the mountains. It is very popular with tourists and the car park is full of 4WD vehicles. It is a pleasant cooling walk beside the... More

Tamerza was a nice oasis, worth seeing if you're in the area. It's more or less between Chebika and Mides, and an easy day trip from Tozeur. Personally, I liked Chebika and Mides better, and if you are pressed for time, I would go to Chebika, which is a beautiful mountain oasis, and Mides, which is an abandoned cliffside village... More

While doing the 2 day Sahara tour we went to the Tamerza Canyon waterfalls in our 4x4 Landcruisers after visiting Tozeur and my goodness this place feels like heaven. We passed through a mountain oasis place Chebika which was nice before arriving at Tamerza. The Tamerza canyon is Beautiful with nice waterfalls. I have seen 2 canyons on this trip... More

this was a very beautiful place indeed however it was well off the main road and there was construction that made the ride difficult. I would only go back when roads are complete and they may be by now.

Gem of a place, part of my tour with Ali Saadi Touareg Tours from Tozeur, an excellent Sahara guide, who took me into the desert and the mountains around Tozeur.
