I can't give any park in Tanzania an average rating- but this hill is basically the gate to the Serengeti National Park. But after a long drivem their is a nice picnic area, clean restrooms, a small shop (that sells cards for your camera- which you probably didn't bring enough of!) But do be sure to take the short walk... More

Great place to stop on the way into the park. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra with the occasional giraffe thrown in for good measure. A short walk up to the top of the hill to see spectacular views of the surrounding plains. More

A short climb up Naabi Hill ( near the gate) and the vista of the Savannah open up below you. Simply stunning views all around. Don't just stop and picnic at the gate walk around to take it all in as your driver does the formalities of check in /check out More

We had a picnic lunch at the Naabi Hill facility. There are tons of stone picnic tables there, some in the sun and some in shade. The hill itself is a relatively easy climb and offers a great view over the Serengeti plains. Thanks to all the crumbs from picnickers, the area is filled with some of the most vibrantly... More

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Ndutu, as part of an 8-day safari with Duma Explorer. It is a natural overlook of the Serengeti plain and we were astonished at all the wildlife we saw - millions of wildebeest, zebra and antelope. It was the only place where we could gain this perspective and we hiked to... More

As part of our 2 1/2 week International Expeditions safari in Tanzania and Kenya during March 2008, we stayed at a tent camp on the lower slopes of the rock outcrop in the middle of nowhere in the Serengeti called Naabi Hill. We arrived by LandCruiser after a trip from the Ngorogoro crater over some rough and tumble roads to... More
