We thought we could walk inside of the gorge but Ol dupai (real name, I rear) is so down from where one can view. It has to be arranged by vehicle from diffent route and seems one may not able to walk ??? More

We were disappointed in Olduvai Gorge that we didn't actually get to see very much - good museium and details of it's history, but if you want to see anything, book a trip that is detailed in doing so, maybe an archaeological one as the normal tours don;t delve too deep More

What can I say about the Olduvai Gorge... it made me cry inside. The Masai would be spinning in their graves to see how humans can **** up what should be such a beautiful place and turn it into a **** hole. Why, when you are visiting the cradle of humanity, would you think it acceptable to throw plastic bottles... More

Site includes a small but interesting museum. it overlooks the eroded canyon that yielded skeletons of early man. Also on display are remains of precursor animals. More
