The endless Serengeti is like looking over the ocean, it goes on and on. It is hard to comprehend how big it is and how full of animals! Wildebeeest and zebra as far as the eye can see, or wide open endless plains with rock kopjes here and there.

We went in January during the reverse wildebeest migration. It was such an exciting, specatacular experience. Tanzania is a must-do for anyone who appreciates seeing wildlife in its natural setting. I would go again in a heartbeat!

We have visited many reserves in east and Southern Africa, including the Mara across the border in Kenya. The Serengeti is all it is cracked up to be. We visited after rains and before the migration, but the vistas were fantastic and the game viewing very good. Four lion snoozing up a tree to avoid the damp grass. A leopard... More

This is the most amazing place I have ever been. It is like entering into another world, a world without humans...It is hard to explain, you have to see it to believe it.

No words are enough to describe this place. We managed to see about 30 plus lions, and countless wildebeest, zebras, giraffes etc. This was our first trip to Serengeti and third trip to Africa. Will come again.

The vistas and wildlife are more than what can be described by words -- Seronera in December displayed the full circle of life. We witnessed lion cubs, young cheetahs, zebra colts, warthog piglets and many more youths clinging to their mothers for protection. We also witnessed hyenas and lions (separately) feeding on their respective kills of wildebeest and warthog. All... More

Though not as game-dense as the Ngorogoro Crater (at the bottom), the Serengeti in December was a lush green sea of grass that meets every definition of exotic. You don't want to stop looking at anything here. The mornings are when you need to get out and experience the wildlife. Tent at one of the semi-luxury locations (such as Nasikia... More
