Strike off Savor Morocco and you will regret it! We strongly recommend those reading this review to take a cooking class here. We did a chicken bastilla, which was out of the menu list because I wanted do cook something challenging and Chris ( our host ) suggested the bastilla. Our teacher, Fatima Zara was superb. Her instructions were clear,... More

We found everything about this cooking class exceeded our hopes. The instructor was great, and most importantly, the food was excellent. We learned step-by-step how to make what we would be eating, and just when the smells were driving us totally crazy with desire, we got to eat it! Definitely worth checking out to crack the secrets of the delicious... More

Our family took a private tour of Morocco and this cooking class was the only thing we planned on our own. We found it on Trip Advisor and added it to our itinerary about a week before we arrived in Meknes. We wanted an interactive experience for our children, especially our 8 year-old who had endured innumerable tours of museums,... More

What a delight to find a cooking school with English speaking Moroccan instructor and hosted by a couple from Texas! August is off-season for visiting Meknes and the summer heat had set in so this non-air conditioned guest house would have been better visited during cooler times. The upside is we had a private cooking lesson. Well done, personable, very... More

My friend and I recently took a 2-hour cooking class with Fatima Zahra and Amy. It was great fun and I learned a lot. I love to cook and am certain that the dishes we made will become part of my repertoire. We made two salads - simple and delicious: roasted eggplant (zaalouk) and red pepper (touktouka) along with a... More

A highlight of our trip to Morocco, we learned to cook traditional Moroccan dishes at Savor Morocco in the imperial city of Meknes. Under the careful guidance of Chris Padgett and FatimaZahra, we learned to make mint tea, bourmash, and milawi, then sat down to share a lovely meal with FatimaZahra. After dinner, we went to the rooftop to watch... More

The cooking school was well prepared and clean. The teacher spoke perfect english and put up with me and my friend cracking jokes and not staying on task! We had such a fun time learning how to cook and taking in some moroccan traditions. Would recommend this cooking school to anyone wanting to get off the beating path. More

My Savor Morocco experience was great. The instructor was well prepared and very fluent in English. It was helpful to have a native Moroccan teach the class-- definitely made it feel authentic. I made Touktouka and chicken Tajine. It tasted fantastic and was probably the best food I had during my entire trip to Morocco. Given Morocco's reputation for having... More

Savor Morocco was a wonderful experience beyond our expectations. We lead a group of 14 people for a day trip to Meknes.Half the group did the cooking school first while the other half toured the city. The lessons were hands-on and practical. (I have made the dishes at home!) The young lady leading the class was charming and spoke perfect... More

We really enjoyed our time at Savor Morocco! I've lived in Morocco for several years and still learned a lot of new things and my guests had a great time! More
