The Maison Arabe is a fantastic haven from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. I visited with my boyfriend to take part in the cookery workshop. The chef was extremely helpful and knowledgable about all aspects of Moroccan cookery. They adapt the level of the course to suit your experience and even seasoned cooks can learn a few tricks. We... more

My husband and I took a cooking class at La Maison Arabe in June. Our experience was a bit unique in that we were actually at the hotel, not the off-site location, and it was just the two of us attending the class. The hotel is beautiful, but the best part was the discussion we had with Mohammed. He gave... more

While on our honeymoon in March we decided to take this class. The class is held outside the Medina on property owned by the hotel, which itself is quite beautiful and relaxing. Mohammed was our instructor, and he was excellent. As an English professor, Mohammed was a natural when it came to teaching, and always made sure to explain the... more

I visited in April on the last day of my stay as a volunteer working in different orphanages. I was the only person there that morning so had 1:1 tuition. I made hot pepper salad, chicken tagine and orange salad. The chef spoke good English as he had worked in New York for a while and we got on well... more

A fantastic introduction to Moroccan cookery and a great way to spend half a day. We were lucky to be the only people in the class so we had the chef and our guide Mohammed all to ourselves. The kitchen is beautifully laid out and maintained. Mohammed was easy company to be with and explained everything well. He is very... more

Entering through perfumed gardens you are led to a beautiful building on the grounds of a private club. First, a drink of minted tea beside a pool- where Mohammed, our translator and guide, greeted us and gave us an introduction into the history of Moroccan cuisine. We were then taken to a breathtaking demonstration kitchen that rivals any kitchen on... more

We spent a great morning a few weeks back, on La Maison Arabe cooking course. Being aware of the exceptional reputation of La Maison Arabe, and keen to further our knowledge of Moroccan cuisine, 3 of us enroled on the course. We received a warm welcome on arrival at the Riad, and were able to have a walk around and... more

As part of our culinary tour of Morocco, we wanted to learn a bit more about Moroccan cuisine, and spent an enjoyable morning taking this cooking class. The facility was spotless and beautiful, the instructor and her interpreter both very pleasant to work with, and the class was well-structured. Even though the dishes were extremely simple, the class was very... more
