Nice photography exhibition, worth a visted.

Currently and until the of December 2014 there is Selection of the permanent Collection running. Interesting old and new photography from Morocco, worth a visit.

this was a private house now a museum with splendid old photos of the Medina of last century. I enjoyed the ambience very relaxing.

Marrakech's Museum of Photography and Visual Arts is sort-of small and sort-of free. In the near future, the museum actually will be the largest photography museum in the world. But until its new building opens outside of the city, it's housed in basically three small rooms inside the Palais/Palace Badia. While the museum itself, at least in its current location,... More

My son and I happened upon this place yesterday when visiting the magnificent El Bhadi Palace. My initial reaction was one of pleasure to find this very modern facility in such a setting, without an entry fee other than the 10Dh for entering the palace in the first. However on reflection I actually feel quite disturbed and rather unhappy about... More

Worth going into if you visit El Badi Palace.. Entry to El Badi is 10 dirhams including access to this exhibition. My guess is it will move to a larger building, as the exhibition was quite small.

Nothing much to see in the el Badi Palace but this was the highlight. Just a few pieces of modern art on display but interesting and from the leaflet I picked up looks like the museum is doing lots to encourage visual arts.

Obs! This is a different Place than Musee de Photographie. Both places a must visit, if interested in photographie. MMP+ is difficult to find and most people do not know of it. The exhibition is within a fantastic palace ruin, itself worth a visit. The art and surroundings are something very special!

Morrocco was off the beaten track at the beginning of the 20th century. Few photographers documented the daily life and customs of Marrakech. The beautiful black and white images are an opportunity to look into the past.
