During my pre-trip planning from home, my research indicated it would not be worth it to go to La Palmerie for a camel ride. However, after a day and a half in Marrakech, I decided that a camel ride would enrich my overall experience. Go if you must, but don’t expect much. And make sure you ask plenty of questions... Not my favorite part of the trip but not a complete waste either. It was nice to get out of the crowds & noise for awhile. The walk here was serene for the most part. My daughter enjoyed the camel ride which while not free didn't break the bank either (it was less overpriced than a gondola ride in Venice).... More

The palm trees were beautiful and we experienced them via a camel ride and quad bikes. The latter was not much cheaper than what you would pay in the Uk so only do if you are really keen. Other than these two events, the place would have been uneventful for the kids in our groups. There was a tea shop... More

I don´t understand why this place is even called an 'attraction'? Once you phase the taxi-price-discussion step an you get there. You will only find an empty land among the luxurious resorts, fulfilled with palm trees, which didn´t grow up there naturally. Then, you can either again discuss the price for the tipical dromedaire promenade, or jump back on the... More

We were rather disappointed by the golf club at La Palmeraie. It felt like an undercapitalised private members club in need of attention. The course itself is fun and tight but scruffy. The caddies were good. The pace of play was a bit slow.

Absolutely loved this quad biking and all the landscapes, pot holes, dips, pebbles, stony ground, loads of sand, hills for a great drive with quad!!! Palm trees dotted around :-), and a lovely quiet farm while we rested from quadding and were given mint tea and cake from a Moroccan family who were very kind. Enjoyed my quad partner who... More

We wanted to ride a camel, but didn't have time to go on a desert trek. La Palmeraie was our alternate. The camel ride was fun, but definitely a tourist attraction. Our camel guide complained that his tip wasn't enough and was quite put off when he was told that the money received was for the both of us (two... More

You expect to see luxurious landscapes full of palm trees. Not that at all. We took a tour of the palmeraie on a horse carriage. It was boring and long. The only plus is we could relax our tired feet for a while. This place has lost all its glory. Luxury houses are hidden all over. We can't even see... More

We didn't do camels, we went to the art gallery, fascinating, original, lovely buildings, exhibition by local artist, stunning and utterly peaceful garden, fantastic loo. Why on earth get conned on a camel? Taxi from centre cost 30 dirhan.

Our taxi driver taking us 2 majored gardens insisted on stopping here. Went on camels with trepidation .30 mins walking round palm trees. On return camel owner wanted 200 dirahm each! After argument with him & taxi driver I paid 50 diarham each. Got a photo taken for 30 dirahm & photographer took some on my phone expected never 2... More
