My daughter and I, at the end of our holiday, weary from the constant hassle from shopowners in the souks, had reached the stage of completely ignoring them. That was until a young man with a beautiful smile called out 'Jamie Oliver came to my shop'. It made us smile and as he said he had a photo, we said... More

I went into this shop with every intention of buying some things to bring home. I wanted to buy spices as well as rose oil, orange blossom oil, and argan oil. Haj Abdou showed me and my mom everything in the store and then while I decided what I wanted, another man working there gave my mom a shoulder massage... More

You will get ripped off, in fact you will get ripped off in most spice shops, don't bother going there , waste of time, go somewhere interesting, the spices etc are cheaper at home.

We walked the street and went into the shop without any recommendation - were amazed then... Beautiful (and unusually quiet) space to see! The stuff is nice and helpful (ok, that is quite common in Marocco), so you can smell and taste everything before deal.

We came across this shop because we had a local who was suppose to be showing us the direction of the restaurants to have lunch at, but somehow managed to convince us to have a look in his brother's spice shop on the way. We thought alright why not, we are in Morocco and they are well known for these... More

The guy's name was Zouhair, he showed us every single apice and herb he had an he was very nice to us. My father had a sort of a rash and he gave him a kind of lotion that helped him feel better. The store was full of colours and different smells. Jars of all sizes and on the outside... More

While the shop itself was nice and it might have been interesting to peruse the spices and oils alone, the set up seems to all be part of a larger scam run by a group of guys who get kickbacks from the stores. After being told that a sight we wanted to see was "closed but there was a festival... More

I came across this shop while my riad host was showing me around the medina. I did buy a few things but never felt pressure to do so. The owner was extremely pleasant, served us mint tea & allowed us to smell & sample many spices & herbs. There is everything from spices to add to various foods to herbs... More

We've been coming to Marrakech for several years, usually in late October to enjoy the atmosphere & culture of the place, and of course the sunshine....and we always visit this shop but have never written a review about it before now. It is run by several young men with a vast knowledge of herbs & medicines. We buy Soaps, Spices... More
