Fantastic experience - definitely visit during evening time, and we attended on a Saturday evening so I can't comment if all evenings are the same, but it had an amazing vibe and sights, sounds and smells that you just have to experience for yourself!

A lot of small streets, very crowded!. The sellers here are a but too pushy for my taste and although this medina beats casablanca in all ways this is certainly not the best medina!. A nice experience for the tourist, but not as genuine as you might expect for a world heritage site as you might expect!. a lot of... More

The Medina is where you should spend at least half your time when you visit Marrakech. Its a totally different world, with thousands of shops selling every thing from spices, silverware, paintings, local artefacts, carpets and what not. Take a local guide (else you are sure to get lost in the maze that's the medina!) and tell the person what... More

We stayed in a fantastic riad in the Medina - Riad Alyia - superb rooms, with air conditioning for the hotter weather. Very friendly staff, with English and French speakers. I would heartily recommend staying there, and eating if you have the chance. They have a superb terrace, and the food is cooked freshly, everyday. In fact, the proprietors asked... More

If you like to see many beautiful things, this is the place. The colors, the smells, the sights, the people, all come together as you go through the pathways. It's always best to have a point of orientation so you know where you're headed.

You can't go to Marrakech without taking a stroll through the Medina but it's not for the faint hearted. You will get lost; you will get harassed by young men wanting to 'guide' you; you will lose the will to haggle over prices yet again. Despite all of that this is a must do experience. Just don't forget, there is... More

ok-- I knew that I am going to discuss a price for a every single item, but I didn't know that it will take ages to find something in a good quality and good price..old,fake,made in China, dirty items ...when the sellers were unhappy with my offer they become rude and they used a bad language in Arabic..when we got lost...
